A mixed bag - Edit
I was pleased to see at least some vegan options for most of the eateries in Longleat. These are all located by the carpark entrance.
Read moreWith the exception of The Chameleon Tree which offers a sit-in area, take away coffees and juices, a deli and restaurant, I have tried all the food places at the Longleat estate.
I would say the pizza joint is probably the best "restaurant" in terms of quality of food and filling you up, although the selection is limited to one or two vegan pizzas.
The other options from the "pop-up" stalls taste good for vegan junk food, but I found myself hungry again quickly afterwards. This includes the hot dog stand and dirty loaded fries. As far as I could see (the queue was long so I wasn't able to ask anyone) the donut stall does not offer veganized versions. I have also browsed and bought food from the shop, which while pricey, offers a few options including sandwiches and sausage rolls (which were very tasty).
All of the food places open from 11, which can be challenging with kids. I believe The Chameleon Tree and the shop open earlier, with more limited food options.
Of course it would be great to see a more extensive vegan menu (ideally fully) going forwards and a bigger rescue/conservation proposition. We can hope! #Veganuary
Pros: Vegan options in most stalls and resturants, Pizzas and sausage rolls are tasty
Cons: Expensive, Some stall food options are not very filling, Would be good to see more options
