I love going here, even though I live in SOPO and it’s a bit further than some of the other stores in Portland, I make the trip because they always have what I’m looking for and the people are so nice

Tasty vegan sandwiches - Edit
I like to shop here instead of at Whole Foods when I can. This is a small health food store with a good selection of natural foods, spices and grains that you can buy in bulk, tons of organic wines, and a great deli. There are several vegan sandwiches and salad options at the deli, and good coffee. I ordered a Thai seasoned tofu sandwich with peanut sauce and fresh cabbage and it was divine.

I really like this place. I live in South Portland and have Whole Foods right in Portland (where I do my weekly shopping) but every once in a while Whole Foods doesn't have something I'm looking for, and I call Lois' and they always have it!

I had wonderful help at Lois Natural Marketplace - Edit
I was very surprised to read the negative review about Lois. I had one women help me with my vitamins for half an hour. She was so helpful I wondered if she was a nurse. She also showed me around the building and answered all my questions. Since then I have driven out of my way just to get my items there. I really wonder if the person that wrote the bad review may have just had a bad day.
