Verbluffende plantaardige menu!

Pros: Top vegan gastronomisch, Cosy atmosphere, Vriendelijke bediening

Cons: None, None, None

Perfect vegan tasting menu

This is one of those times that I wish I could give a non-vegan place 5 stars. We had an amazing dinner experience at Lof! I’m always so happy to find a place making vegan food in a more fancy and culinairy setting. Perfect for special occasions or foodies.

We had the 7-course vegan tasting menu with wine pairing (not sure of the wines were 100% vegan) and every course was great! I also love that we got started with a large selection of appetizers that were just as creative and tasty as the rest of the dinner. Sometimes the vegan courses of a non-vegan place can feel like an afterthought, but I feel our food was just as creative and tasty as the rest.

Service and pacing was great and the setting was lovely with comfy chairs and spacious tables. We stayed at the Pillows hotel so we could walk right back to our rooms. It was not cheap (€300 total) but totally worth it!

Pros: Amazing vegan tasting menu, Great service, Great wines

Cons: Expensive

Fancy vegan dining

Er is een volledig vegan menu. Elk gerecht is een klein kunstwerk. Erg lekker allemaal! De moeite om eens te doen.

Stylish dining, although culinairy a bit underwhelming (two reviews)

Update: visit at start of 2018.
the food was nice (in quite cheap for a 3 course menu, 33€). Although it is a pity that Lof still does not pay any attention to side things that would make the vegan menu ‘complete’. Still no vegan bread, no vegan butter. No vegan chocolates with the coffee.
Service was however extremely slow, and very chaotic, which was a real downer.

This is from a visit at the end of 2016.

All in all we had a nice dinner.
But foodwise (culinairy) , I think 56€ for 5 course dinner is a bit overpriced here. I guess the trendy location (decor) and service also determine this price.

Lack of attention to 'detail'. eg asked to get vegan bread (they had never thought about that) and there was cow butter on the table.

We waited a very very long time for coffee and tea, and when it finally arrived it was served with non-vegan sweets (and a non-vegan cappuccino). Which they replaced and apologised for (and we didn't have to pay), but that was a bummer.

The lack of attention for these things - especially for a restaurant that profiles itself as being vegan friendly and offering a vegan menu - see vegan logo on their website- was disappointing.

PS: they did have a vegan labelled wine though!
