Nice place for a hearty lunch - Edit
Nice little restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Had a vegan Jackfruit Burger with vegan coleslaw and cake afterwards, which was lovely. The Burger seemed to be the only vegan option on the daily menu, but was very good. The staff were friendly, but the restaurant seemed quite well loved and therefore busy at lunchtime, so prepare to wait a few minutes until being seated.

Great pies for vegetarians - Edit
Lochinver Larder is famous for its pies, and offers three different vegetarian options: Mushroom, Chestnut and Red Wine; Cauliflower, Broccoli, and Cheese; Spiced Butternut, Sweet Potato, and Goats Cheese.
Read moreAll three of these are super tasty, and come with a small side salad - you can add other sides for extra £ if you're hungry (but the pies are pretty big anyway!). My personal fave is the Cauliflower pie.
Lochinver is a really small village with only a few eating options, and the Larder is definitely the best! You can also order their pies online to be delivered at home if you enjoy them.
For vegan food, sadly you can't try any of the pies, but there are a few options on the main menu that are clearly labelled.
Pros: Excellent vegetarian pies, Great outside seating (if the weather plays nice!)
Cons: Small number of vegan options

Okay for a snack - Edit
Limited vegan options in North West Scotland, so good to find somewhere with Vegan food.
Read moreHad the sausage and onion chutney sandwich. Was filling and overall okay.
Staff not the most approachable

Good food but limited vegan options - Edit
I really enjoyed a vegan sausage sandwich made with a lovely onion chutney. The flavours were obviously well considered.

No vegan pie options whatsoever - Edit
3 vegan options, bean burger, sausage sandwich & hummus ciabatta. All 3 very basic, bean burger probably the best of the 3. Very disappointing not to have a single vegan pie option

Lots of vegan options, clearly labelled - Edit
The menu (daily specials as well as regular menu) offers several options which are marked as “can be made vegan“, so it is advised to specify when ordering. I had a lentil toomtoom with jalapeno salad and naan bread, which was delicious, as well as vegan ice cream for desert. Also offered are baked potatoes, a burger, a pasta dish, and more. Definitely would recommend, it's been a while since I had more than one or two vegan options to choose from!
