Easy fresh vegan eats

Loved my vegan Caesar salad

I loved that there are real vegan options that have protein.

Pros: A few vegan options, A few vegetarian options, Tasty tofu

Cons: Croutons could be better, The dining space was too cold to sit in , Meat options exist — he he!

This place really never misses😍 This location of Local Foods is my go-to for vegan options! I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve brought every single person I know here😂 All of their sandwiches come with a soup or 2 sides, or can be made into a salad. Their vegan options— from the vegan caesar salad, the taco salad, the garden sammie, the quinoa burger to their power bowl (and the broccoli and “cheese” rice in the kids section!), are all delicious

They always have a special in addition to the regular menu that have ranged from chik’n fried tempeh sandwiches, to vegan meatball subs, to French toast and vegan bolognese

The vegan carrot cupcake is hard to avoid 😂 it’s so good

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Healthy options, Fun atmosphere, outdoor patio

Cons: Their specials rotate (wish they were permanent😆

5 stars!!

Would have put 5 stars but wasn't able since it's not "fully" vegan. This place has many vegan options and they're all amazing. I always have a great experience here. All staff are super friendly. Customer service is above and beyond. Everything I've eaten here is fantastic!!

Deserves 5 Stars

Such a great place that vegans, vegetarians and everyone else can enjoy. It’s a nice counter-order place with indoor and patio dining. Both spaces are excellent, and dogs are welcome outside. The staff here might be one of the best features. Nah, it’s the FOOD. So unique and fresh…I love this place.

Great patio dining

Love coming here with my dog. Large patio with lots of shade. Menu includes several vegan options, including the best vegan queso I’ve had! I love the vegan burger (quinoa and bean), which is far better than the vegan burger at the Rice Village location (don’t even bother). On weekends they have vegan French toast for brunch. Nice cocktails and vegan cupcake, too.

Pros: Big patio where dogs are allowed , Cocktails , Good vegan options + cupcake dessert

Cons: Ran out of fruit last time, Need more vegan sides

Best Vegan Options In Houston

This is my Go-to vegan friendly restraunt in Houston. I love this place!

Pros: So many vegan options, Unique vegan options, Options change regularly

Cons: Also has meat on the menu

Best Local Foods for vegans

This location of Local Foods is the absolute stellar choice for vegans. They have a separate vegan menu with many options. I have had nothing here I did not love. The daily specials include chicken fried portobello with mashed potatoes and the Impossible burger helper which is a vegan version of the less compassionate childhood cheeseburger helper. But they keep it interesting with menu updates.

Pros: Interesting fresh food, Fast service

Cons: A little pricy but organic and locally sourced

So yummy!!

I came here with my mom for brunch just to check out the place. I was so pleasantly surprised that there were so many vegan options. I had the vegan chicken and dumplings and my mom, who isn’t vegan, was jealous of my meal because it was so good.

Cons: No hot coffee :/

Good

Glad to see more vegan options incorporated into menus of “new” restaurants. The fried avocado in the tacos was delicious.

Pros: Several vegan options including vegan cheese, Cool space, friendly staff, outdoor seating, Very tasty. Had the vegan tacos.

Cons: Not a whole lot of food for price

More and more vegan options !

Nice vegan choices and in a pleasant vibrant atmosphere. Everything they serve is local and seasonal so the menu gets updated frequently. The chefs are creative and you’ll find combinations of tastes you would have never thought of! (But they certainly make it work!) it seems like they keep adding new vegan options, much to my delight! I like that they also seem to be mindful in not using single use disposable plastic (to go containers are compostable and drinks are self serve in reusable cups, straws are not provided by default , etc)

Pros: Creative food, Many vegan options, Fast service

Cons: Can be pricey, Ordering at a counter
