Beautiful, well equipped shop & great service

I love to shop in LoVegano. Not only is the store well equipped with anything a vegan or vegetarian needs ranging from food, clothes, books, kitchen utensils, etc, but the service is also great. The staff is knowledgeable and loves to help. They give you good tips and answer all questions you might have.
The shop is beautifully decorated and it is a pleasure strolling around. I can also recommend it to anyone who is just interested in a healthier life style.

Pros: great assortment, knowledgeable & friendly staff, beautiful shop

Cons: that there is only one on Mallorca

Everything a vegan needs!

This store offers everything a vegan needs, tofu, seitan, cheese, yoghurt and even a small choice of fresh baked pastery. The owner speaks spanish, german and english, so if you need advise about anything it is easily available.
The prices are a little bit higher than in a "normal" grocery store, but not higher than in any vegan shop around europe. Also this store is very close to the center of Palma and easy to find.

Pros: Rich selection of products, Fitting prices, Friendly and helplful staff

Great store! So happy it exists!

When I came to Mallorca a year ago I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find many vegan items on the island. Thanks to Happy Cow I discovered this store and was delighted to find out that they have everything a vegan would need and crave and then some. Mock meats, cheese, bread spreads sweets and so much more. This should be on every vegans list!

As for the comment about pricing, sure Lot Vegano is pricier than a regular grocery store BUT regular grocery stores also do not sell vegan cheese, vegan sausages, vegan steaks and such specialty items. So comparing the two is just plain unfair.

Great One-Stop Vegan Grocery Store

This is a great all vegan grocery store run by friendly and helpful folks. You can cover all your vegan needs in this one-stop shop. All thumbs up for doing such great grassroots work in a non-vegan environment. This shop deserves your support!

Pros: Friendly Staff, Great Products, Great Range

Cons: none

Well supplied but pricey

A very well supplied little store, located close to the city center. Has basicly any of the cliché vegan substitute products; "cheese", soy sausage, gluten ham, etc. Also has the more normal products, such as soy milk, soy yoghurt, soy chunks and such. As it is common with these kind of places, there's loads of hippie products, such as teas, herbs, spices... Not stuff that has anything to do with veganism, but guess some people will like it.

As of price, this is very expensive, compared with normal mallorcan stores. We went from here with a small paper bag for 20 €, whereas we shopped a stuffed bag from a regular supermercat for only 10 €.

Go here if you crave some special vegan product. But don't go here for regular shopping.

Pros: Well supplied, Very nice room

Cons: Very expensive, No fresh vegetables

I strongly disagree with the above review, which is obviously written in a malicious nature.

How is one to judge what "has to do with veganism" an what not?

Obviously Lo Vegano is doing grassroots work in a non-vegan environment. So they should get two thumbs up for that alone. But this store is run by friendly and helpful folks that carry great products.

And yeah, little stores that carry fairly traded products tend to be more expensive. The less you buy wholesale, the higher the prices. That's basic economic and math that everyone should be able to figure out.

Let's face it: If you buy your stuff at large chain stores that carry loads of meat and diary and pay the employees poorly, then whatever you buy has got blood on it too.

I am glad this store exists and it deserves all of your support.
