Cozy and intimate, great for date nights!

Little Wolf is a cozy and intimate restaurant, with a very plant-focused, vegan-friendly menu (nearly half the menu is vegan!). Vegetables are the star of the show, paired with flavorful sauces. The highlight of our meal was the fried focaccia with zaatar and hummus. The dishes are small and designed for sharing. The prices are quite reasonable. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with dim lighting, candles, wood paneling, and exceptionally friendly service.

I highly recommend the 3-course vegan dinner at Little Wolf. It’s held on the last Monday of every month, and proceeds go to the Edmonton Food Bank. The food was wholesome and delicious, with seasonal fruits and veg being the star of the show. P.S. You need to reserve in advance!

Set price Vegan dinner the last Monday of the month

What drew us to the restaurant initially is the vegan dinner the last Monday of the month. You definitely need a reservation since this is a small restaurant and the dinner books out quickly. Reservations are made through their website and you then need to e-transfer $5 per person to hold the spot. The $5 per person is deducted from the price of the meal ($49 per person at the time of writing) and the restaurant donates the $5 to the Edmonton food bank. The dinner is 3 courses, served family style to the members of your party. Until you arrive at the restaurant you have no idea what the dinner will be! The menu on October 28, 2024 was a starter of sweet potato “bravas” with pickled limes, cucumber and mint. The entree was West African peanut stew with spiced millet, and desert was chai poached BC pears with coconut rice pudding. The food was wonderful. I am not a huge fan of sweet potatoes (unless they are fries) but the “bravas” dish was amazing. To my mind the combination with pickled limes and mint should have been a hot mess but it was honestly fantastic. The stew with millet was really good too, and the rice pudding was also fantastic (I’m not a fan of pears). I love that they use fresh produce, especially since so many restaurants seem to rely on faux meat. It was obvious that thought and care went into the food. It seems like heresy to say this, but at this point they are in the running to be one of my favourite restaurants in Edmonton. The lighting in the restaurant is dim so my photos aren’t great.
