Definitely some of the more authentic hummus you can find in the city - love the green schug on top!

Mixed Feelings - Edit
Convenient little lunch spot with a largely vegan menu. I ordered the winter squash hummus bowl, which was tasty but not what I expected, hence the 3 stars. First it was DROWNED in olive oil - probably half a cup worth had been poured over the top of it . It was not included in the description of the meal and I would have asked for it without had I known. Second the squash wasn’t fully peeled making it unpleasant to eat. This was acorn and butternut quash, both of which are typically peeled before being cooked for a reason…
Read moreI may try this place again because the hummus and pita was good - I’d just get a. different bowl and ask for it without the oil bath…

I go out of my way to come here for the Hummus Bowl - Edit
Great hummus, great pita
Read moreOne of my favorite meals in DC, where there are some great vegan restaurants.
My favorite is the "Keep it Classic" - Warm Chickpeas, Tahini & Cilantro Jalapeño Hot Sauce
They also serve vegan soft serve made with oat milk -- Chocolate Turkish Coffee or
Vanilla Tahini.
Pros: Keep it Classic - 5/5 stars, Vegan oat milk soft serve for dessert

Pop-Up in NW DC - Edit
Takeout menu is in effect and ordering can be tricky if demand is high. When they first opened their pop-up it took me 4 days to place an order because they kept selling out. This is because the food is top-notch. The vegan options are the pita, hummus, and cauliflower entree.
Read moreThe peppers side dish is quite tasty and will be enough for leftovers for a while.
Pros: Hummus is best I’ve tasted outside of Tel Aviv, Pitas are delicious and super fresh , Pickup is simple
Cons: The cauliflower entree was mushy and overcooked , Hard to perfectly cook popup food for takeout , Limited menu at popup site

Very Vegan Friendly - Edit
Not only was the food good and fresh (definitely recommend adding the Habanero Hot Sauce) but they were super friendly! A main hummus tomato dish, two extra pitas, cucumber salad and tahini ice cream ran us about $33 including tip. It fed two people and even had left overs for one lunch tomorrow! Not bad for the city.

Don't forget the ice cream! - Edit
Yummy pitas and hummus bowls. If you order soft-serve ice cream with your meal, they can give you a little coupon to come back and get your ice cream when you're ready for dessert.
Read moreMy biggest complaint is that they're closed on weekends, so it's really only a weekday lunch or weekday after work option. The Chinatown location (736 6th St NW) is now open on weekends, but this little bit of Farragut is less concentrated for vegan options.
Pros: Great soft serve
Cons: Closed on weekends

Quick Vegan lunch - go here - Edit
Loved that I could walk up to the register first time and ask - what options are vegan. Quick response « everything but #s 5, 7 and 10 but we can make 7 vegan easy by holding the hard boiled egg ». Bam. Loved it. The pita sandwich I got wasn’t to my flavor preference for the afternoon, but I couldn’t believe how well done it was. Good size, flavorful, smooth and creamy. I know I’ll find my usual very soon! I’d rate a 5 but because Omni’s have 3 choices, I can’t. My only suggestion is marking the Omni choices (or the vegan which is society standard) on the menu so its clear and I don’t have to ask at the counter. Stop on by!!

Terrific and so many vegan options - Edit
Such delicious hummus. Would have rated it five but happy cow wouldn’t let me because it isn’t totally vegan (because one dish has chicken and they offer hard boiled eggs to bowl.)It might not be vegan, but there are more vegan options than you’ll find at many vegetarian restaurants. Oh and delicious dairy free soft serve. This is hands down the best vegan lunch option in the neighborhood.

Amazing! - Edit
Except one, the rest (5) of the hummus dishes were vegan. Everything is organic and so well cooked! It just tastes great! Basically for take away but they have some tables as well. Recommended!
