Geweldig!

Mooi restaurant, fijne bediening maar vooral geweldig eten. Lekkere gerechten met linzen, bieten, spinazie en gemengde groenten

Tasty ethiopian

They have a vegetarian option which was delicious , although I would have wanted a greater variety like on other ethiopian places.

Delicious!

Delicious food, super friendly owners and nice atmosphere. We had to wait 1,5 hour for our food, which was the only downside. Beside that, amazing place! Highly recommended 😋

Pros: Delicious, Friendly, Cosy

Cons: Long wait

Good food

We came here for the second time with a bongo gift voucher and had the vegan tasting menu for 2. The food was good, the portion was a little on the small side this time, but last time it was better actually. The service can be a little awkward at times and we had to go find them twice as they didn't come to the tables outside very often. Still quite ok.

very tasty

I really enjoyed the different dishes; I recommend to share the dishes. The owner is very friendly and knows about veganism. They also serve coffee and the decoration is very nice!

Pros: many vegan options, nice staff, good for romantic dinner

good food

Massive plates of food on Ethiopian 'bread'. Good value for money

Pros: vegan is a go

Cons: can be a bit too much food?

Good service, amazing food

The food was simply amazing, and rather inexpensive. A member of our group has gluten sensitivity, and the restaurant provided a gluten free alternative (a kind of potato salad instead of the injera bread they usually serve) without an extra charge. All in all the service was friendly and helpful.

We ordered the mixed vegetarian platter; it was varied and delicious. The injera bread they serve with all dishes was very sour, which we liked, but might be a surprise for some, if you don't know what to expect. We didn't ask whether the food was strictly vegan or just vegetarian. I suspect they might use clarified butter in the sauces.

The atmosphere was cozy. The restaurant had dining tables on two floors. The ground floor had a more typical restaurant decor with distinct African elements, but the second floor area was really interesting with Ethiopian basket-tables (?). We were given no utensils, instead scooping the sauces with the bread.

All in all a very favorable experience. We recommend this restaurant and will most likely eat there again.

Pros: Friendly service, Tasty!, Affordable

Cons: A bit tricky to find, Expensive water

Try the tasty veg-combination!

This is a great hidden gem in Antwerp's center. The owner is very nice and the food very tasty. I got here on quite some recommendations by other local vegans.

I you can't choose, go for the vegetarian (which is vegan by default) combination plate (2 or 3 persons). You'll get a big plate (see picture) with a variety of 'dips' you can eat together with your pancakes. Compared to main-dishes it's also a pretty good deal money-wise. Wash your hands before you go here because you'll be eating with your hands! (Your right hand actually)

The interior isn't too fancy but I found it cozier than expected, especially during the night with the lights on the yellow wall.

Don't forget to try the coconut-beer! (didn't try the other flavors though) Oh and look up at the amazing ceiling :) (picture)

Pros: Nice owner, Tasty food
