Small and Quaint

For what it is, this coffee shop/restaurant is pretty nice. I came here with the intention of spending a few hours reading a book, but I didn’t realize how small it was. There are a few tables and chairs in the backyard that will maybe fit 20 people. There is NO restroom, and they ask that people don’t stay for longer than an hour (which imo defeats the purpose of a cafe).

Food wise, I had the Bacon Biscuit which was pretty good! I liked the vegan bacon a lot. I also had an iced mocha latte that was not bad.

Pros: Decent food and drink, Reasonable prices

Cons: No restroom, Small, Limited seating time 🥲

Nice lunch

On a Vegan Hacks Pod recommendation! I really loved the biscuit with maple butter. The breakfast burrito was very filling. Cute backyard seating too.

Biscuits & Breakfast Burritos

Stopped here for breakfast, got the Bacon Biscuit and the Breakfast Burrito. Both were very good! Best biscuit I've had. Good flavors and they don't skimp on the vegan cheese. The outdoor seating area is cute and shaded with umbrellas and trees.

Super sweet little Ⓥ barn!

You like coffee? You like breakfast tamales? You like croissants? All vegan? Little barn is a sweet small spot with some shaded outdoor seating all packed in communal style in back with an array of Ⓥ options in Glassel Park - I’m surprised I didn’t know about this spot earlier. We love it!

Little but mighty delicious!

Little Barn Coffee House was such a delight! I occasionally visit LA and was so pleased with my breakfast. I had the Sausage Biscuit Sandwich and that biscuit was one of the best of my life!
I'll most definitely be recommending this place to family and friends!!

Pros: Softest biscuit I've ever tasted, Relaxing seating area, Friendly staff

Cons: Not one closer to where I live!

Good not great

While I appreciate any vegan restaurant, the quality and portions have gone down here while prices have gone up. The burritos they show on Instagram are about twice the size of what you really get. Somehow their food just lacks flavor lately, very hit or miss depending on what you order.

Perfect

My wife and I go here every time we're in Los Angeles, and every time it blows us away. The sitting area is pretty nice and mostly shaded, but the food itself? Outstanding. The chicken pesto sandwich especially is something that I can't recommend enough.

Pros: Food, Coffee, Ambience

Cute spot!

Glad I tried this place for lunch today. Really great menu with a lot of variety (and all day breakfast, my favorite!) It’s to go only but there’s a cute patio in the back where you can sit and eat. I’ll definitely be back!

So good I came twice

The Little Barn was a lovely surprise - I didn't really know what to expect. I stopped by for breakfast (sausage biscuit) and then lunch a week later on the way to the airport (special - croissant club sandwich). Both were great and I am glad I tried two dishes but if you are having one, go for the biscuit. The biscuit itself is homemade and so tasty.

Great service. Loved the patio and the location. They happily served both my meals in my own containers that I brought, so no wasted cartons.

Pros: delicious, friendly owner, beautiful patio

Cons: none!

you won’t regret it *obsessed*

my favorite vegan breakfast/brunch/lunch spot thus far. home cooked to perfection. tried a lot of the menu and most of it hits the spot. the breakfast sausage burrito add hash brown is perfectly seasoned and a great portion. the biscuit sandwich with sausage *chefs kiss* i will recommend all day. the lattes with oat milk are amazing. the og breakfast sandwich is good but not as good as the other options mentioned. would probably taste better on croissant. the steak and egg burrito on the specials menu was amazing. the only thing i wouldn’t recommend is the soyrizo. not tasty. most soyrizo has a distinct taste that doesn’t make me go crazy.

Pros: affordable, so many tasty vegan options, quick

Neighborhood Gem

The sandwiches and pastries at this unassuming neighborhood barn are worth the drive. I recommend the OG Breakfast Sandwich, marinated tofu, tomato, basil, onion and cheddar cheese on a croissant. The Turkey Sriracha Sandwich, with turkey , cheese, tomato and a generous amount of kale, was also really good.
Their pastries baked fresh daily also did not disappoint. Bite into a moist muffin filled with tender blueberries, or dunk a chocolate strawberry scone in coffee. Also, the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.

Pros: Great breakfast and lunch menu, Fresh baked pastries , Reasonable prices

Cons: I wish they sold conchas

Cute spot!

The coffee was great. My breakfast burrito wasn’t, but I hear great things about this place so, maybe it was an off day. The patio is so cute and serene. The decor is sweet. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions about the menu. I do wanna give this place another try soon!

Pros: All vegan, Outdoor patio, Friendly staff

Cons: No parking, No restrooms (I think)

Holy sh*t 🤩

Best tamale I’ve had in my life, and it’s vegan?!?! I’m obsessed. I had to call 2 of my closest family members to tell them about this damn tamale 😂 Highly Recommend the “Queso Con Rajas” and the horchata cold brew 🤍

Pros: Flavor packed, Fresh & hot, Great price

Cons: Nada, zip, zero 🤣

Crazy good, but you pay for it

Everything here 10/10 but the prices, just be ready to pay $50 for two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches. But hey, it's LA and this place really is as good as it gets for what they do

Great if you’re close by!

Awesome little vegan spot if you’re in the area, the breakfast sandwiches are amazing and prepared fast - they offer either Just Egg or tofu as an egg substitute

Great little neighborhood café

We love Little Barn for brekky, and they make good burritos for any time of day. There’s a cozy seating area in the backyard. The place is very popular with locals and the few seats out back tend to fill up. There is usually street parking available right out front or somewhere on the block.

Enjoy!

LA must try!

This was such a delicious surprise!

I loved Egg Slut when I wasn't vegan and this place is the equivalent of that!
A dirty delicious breakfast burger.

I also tried the baked scone and it was excellent.

Try it out!

Pros: Big vegan menu, Reasonably priced, Yummy

Now this is Punk Rock!

These kids made a diy vegan resto in an abandoned barn. Okay. Prolly never abandoned, but it's beautofu and the sister owners are vegans too. It's freaking adorable, the back patio is perfect and shady, the vibe is all right and the coffee horchata? Me amore mucho! I love this spot.

I had the Rueben and when I asked for hot sauce they said, which? Cholula or Tapatio! Heck yes! That's what I'm talking about. Their plant meats come from local Unreal deli and thank Christ not another place selling corporate mass factory produced impossible/gardein/beyond PBC junky low effort garbage.

Something something... yes I want to eat in a barn everyday.

Pros: vegan owners, cute af, vegan horchata

Cons: none

Best breakfast eats in the city!

I absolutely love this place! A quaint little coffee shop located in the heart of Glassell Park, the service is always on point and the food will never disappoint! The Just Egg scrambles are my favorite food on the menu and I love washing it down with a hazelnut laté.

Pros: Local and friendly service
