Great food and lots of options

They have a huge menu with dozens of fully vegan options and all vegetarian dishes can be made vegan too. So there are probably 30 fully vegan dishes.

My wife and I shared the ultimate vegan burrito, the black bean, rice, and potato burrito, and a black bean and rice burrito and they were all great. The potato was my favorite. They also do vegan tamales, burgers, tacos, and a lot more.

Pros: Cheap, Tons of vegan options, Fast, free salsa bar, and huge portions!

Lots of Options

Had an awesome burrito and tamale today. I had a vegan The Incredible Burrito and a vegan tamale. Great food and the prices are reasonable.

Best Vegan California Burritio

Such a gem! They serve vegan options for each item on the menu. Quick and easy. Made with love when the older gentleman is making the food, not as good when the two younger boys are cooking.
It's cheap, it's easy, it delicious.
Open late on certain days.
I'm clearly biased, I live close and am a frequent costumer

Pros: Cheap , Vegan options , Great taste

Cons: Not consistent

Great local option while grabbing a beer

stumbled across this place while looking for a new lunch spot. Small tables inside (but plans to expand), and nearly everything can be made vegan. We'll be heading back here soon while heading to the beach.

Wanna love it...

So this place has almost everything you can imagine from a taco shop and more with vegan options and it’s cheap so I ate hear a lot for a few weeks. It tastes alright but they use one grill and cook the meat right next to it...once I found that out I could never go back there. Your call.

Pros: Extensive vegan options, Very cheap and tastes decent, Big portions

Cons: THEY USE ONE GRILL, Definitely not using quality ingredients., In a liquor store

great options

This place has a tremendous amount of variety and provides a TJ slant on vegan Mexican food. We got the tempeh taco and the incredible burrito. The place was a little rough around the edges, but I don’t care because the food was rad and a good value. I’ll definitely be back!

Pros: inexpensive , variety, good food

Cons: atmosphere is little to be desired

Go in and have a burrito!

Being straight edge the last thing I wanted to do was walk into a liquor store to look at their food menu. There was some allusion to veg stuff but I was on my way to Peace Pies. That night I saw on Happy Cow that this place has vegan food. So I gave it a try the next day. It was pretty good. They have quite a good menu for vegans (it was all labeled) and it was decently priced. The guy working was very sweet and friendly.
I was impressed they took the time to think about vegans.

Pros: decent selection, good size burrito

Cons: in liquor store

Pretty Good food

I would have never known that there was a Mexican Taco Shop inside of a liquor store if it wasn't for Happy Cow! We went there for hangover food. What a great place!! There are so many options for vegans/vegetarians. Not only that but it's CHEAP!! My husband had a burrito that he kept saying how terrific it was. I had the combo plate of tofu scramble. Fantastic! They have inside seating, it's only a table. There is also outside seating as well.

Pros: Cheap, Great food

beach side gem!

this is really the 'must go' spot in san diego. vegan options include taquitos, tacos, burritos, tamales, etc... made of stuff including soyrizo and tofu... the gauc is great... and there are some salsas and hot sauce too to add on. the prices are really cheap. the service is lightning fast... but this place is also a liquor/beer/wine store, but also has other convenience store stuff. there are a couple tables to sit on outside... but the beach is just a few mins walk away too.
