Quality shop with vegan options - Edit
Not only is it hard to find a fish and chip shop in Yorkshire that doesn’t fry in beef dripping, this one has an actual vegan main ‘fish’ alternative with vegan mayo or vegan tartare. Ok it’s ultra processed but at least they are being inclusive. The place is spotless and professional looking. They have an outside seating area to eat in if you wish. The chips and mushy peas are excellent, and come in several sizes so you are not resigned to eating massive oversized portions that you end up throwing half of away. It has won awards and deservedly so, but unfortunately that means it is not a secret and they frequently have long queues or shut early having sold out.

Cons: Frequent long queues, Often sell out and close early as a result, ‘Fish’ is ultra processed

So good - Edit
Their ‘mini vegan fish’ was excellent. Their vegan tartare sauce was good (thicker consistency than usual).

Amazing - Edit
Really good ‘fish’ and chips. Best I’ve had vegan I think, the vegan fish and vegan sausage (which can be battered) was amazing. Curry sauce and chips were good too. Portion sizes are on the small side though for the chips and the vegan subs are expensive - it was around £4.50 each for the sausage and the fish. Worth it though for a great

Lovely surprise - Edit
My daughter had been here previously and had the vegan crab cakes. They are not yet on the menu but there are 3 main vegan options; fish, Saveloy and I've forgotten the third!
Read moreThey fry in vegetable oil and have vegan sauces and mayo too.
We all have the pea protein fish which was really good. I'm glad we don't live too far away. We ate out the back outside under cover where our dog was also welcome. Service was very friendly with smiles. We will definitely go back.
Pros: Fish and chips , Friendly service
Cons: None - tofu fish would be a great addition

Good vegan "fish" & chips - Edit
Clearly displayed vegan options. Friendly staff who are happy to cater to vegans. Very good chips, they even label which type of potatoes they have in. Decent portion sizes. The tofu fish wasn't very 'fishy' but no complaints, good curry sauce, too!

Best fish and chips ever! - Edit
We stumbled upon this chippy whilst in Flamborough, we shared and fish and chips, this fish was beautiful! Crispy, light batter and delicious filling, made from a blend of soya and shiitake mushroom! We don’t usually like the typical banana blossom and tofish so this was a nice change! The chips were nice, fresh and not greasy at all! The curry sauce was just *chefs kiss*

Really amazing vegan 'fish' and chips - Edit
There is a clear vegan menu which had plenty of options but the staff were also really knowledgeable and helpful. We had the battered savaloy sausage and chips. It is honestly the best vegan battered sausage I've had and the chips were triple cooked too. It was a great price and will definitely be back.
