Liebling Trier has a nice chill atmosphere. Lots of vegan options and all milk are all for the same price. I had the oat bowl, it was really good. No hunger for the rest of the day. 😊

Cosy and tasty food - shame about the service! - Edit
My family and I were in Trier on holiday. We found Liebling Trier on Happy Cow. It’s a cute and cosy place that adjoins a well-stocked organic/refill shop. It looked promising, with some tempting vegan options, but the waiter was unbelievably grumpy and rude. He ordered us to sit on the couch, although tables were available. He was clearly annoyed I had to translate the (German-only) menu for my partner, which meant we took time ordering. I chose the Liebling Breakfast which comes in veggie or vegan (although vegan wasn’t listed in the menu) and he was again obviously impatient and annoyed I didn’t know which hot drink to have (he hadn’t told me the options). But what really spoiled our visit was when my 5yo son tried to say “Das war lecker” (“that was tasty”) in German and he just ignored him. I said: “he’s trying to learn German” and he rolled his eyes and said “I heard”. Just bloody rude and unnecessary. We won’t go back.

Leckerste Sauerteig Pizza und wenige Bowls, Tagessuppen, Frühstück, mehr vegetarisch als vegan. Das Kuchenangebot ist auch wieder besser geworden. Immer freundlicher Service und bemühte Küche. Leider die schlechteste (möchtegern Fajita) Mexican Bowl ever! Zudem riesengroße FakeHühnchenstücke, Küche zu faul, diese faden Teile in mundgerechte Stücke zu schneiden?

We had the Liebling breakfast it was very tasty and fresh with lots of salad and avocado. We enjoyed scrambled tofu and coffee with vegan milk which is really tasty.

Read moreI just wish this place would be open till later than 18 during the week and 17 on mondays! In all cities I've ever been to, all restaurants are up at least until 20. We could never go there during the week because of work. Only on the weekends. It's also open from 9, so can't even grab anything before work.
I also wish this place was fully vegan. It has great potential to be and most dishes are already vegan too. I think excluding all animal products wouldn't ruin the experience.

They have a plethora of vegan things. We had a platter of different foods (“Liebling Frühstück”), basically a brunch platter (if you want to get this, come really really hungry, it is simply that much). Everything tasted absolutely delicious, only the scrambled tofu was a bit too salty for my liking. Loved the croissant and chocolate spread. The staff was great, and we didn’t wait too long, even though it was packed. If you come with a bigger group, I’d recommend to book a table. The platter we got is expensive (29€), for two it’d be 49€ (if I remember it correctly); I’d say get it for one and share, it is plenty:)

two small slices of bread with a boring salad. we had the scrambled "egg" and the hearty cheese breakfast. the best part of the hearty one was the avocado.

Went there to have breakfast. They even offer vegan camenbert adn other vegan cheese with wome of the breakfasts. I had vegan scrambled eggs with yummy bread and a salad garnish. Everything was tasty, the service is very friendly. Took some cake homem which was also good. Since everything is organic, it's rather expensive. I still would go there again, the choice and quality are good.

Lots of vegan options, you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner. We got the vegan scrambled eggs and it was very well seasoned, texture was right, it tasted just like the chicken scrambled eggs! (But better!)

The new location is an absolute upgrade! Not only is the location super beautiful but also the offerings for vegans have diversified. You can order breakfast individually now, plus the assortment of vegan cakes and dishes has been expanded. Super delicious and nutritious, always a pleasure to the eye and taste buds.
