Had a tasty soup and an organic cola here, the price was low and the staff so friendly! Would recommend!!

Stopped in for a late breakfast but I believe they have a daily changing menu which only had 3 choices. One choice was vegan and one vegetarian. Also had very refreshing choice of lemonade. We tied the rosemary and the ginger lemonade. Had a falafel bowl which was delicious and big portion. Service was great!

A pleasure to eat - Edit
Leichtsinn is a lovely bistro near the train station. I also used a break when changing trains to eat there. Everything, the lime mint soda, the medium salad and also the porcini mushroom ravioli with lime sauce had that special something that turns a good meal into a very good one.

Amazing vegan meal - Edit
I would give this meal 5 stars if Happy Cow would let me! This was the first vegan meal I found/ate in Salzburg and it blew me away. Everything was in German (I don’t speak or read German) but I saw the word “vegan” and just ordered the vegan meal having no idea what would come. A delicious plate full of lentils, rice, and greens was presented and it was the best lentils I’ve ever eaten. Could not rave enough about the food! The vegan brownie was pretty good, and the lemonade is similar to lemon-ginger kombucha. Also had the option for soy milk for coffee which was really nice. The service was quick and the waiters were so friendly, loved Leichtsinn - would recommend!

There were 2 vegan dishes of the day which we shared as well as a vegan cake option. It was great food and service, so I would definitely recommend this bistro!

Read moreFood is fresh and tasty, but unfortunately most dishes are not vegan (nor even vegetarian); until 2014 Leichtsinn had different vegan options available, now (2015) quite few.

A very welcoming place to enjoy a light meal - Edit
The 'LeichtSinn' is a really lovely place serving excellent, healthy food. They offer a range of vegetarian dishes, including lasagne and curries, and they have a very nice salad bar. Almost everything is freshly prepared and they try to offer organic food where possible. I've heard that they are very happy to prepare delicious vegan dishes on request. The atmosphere is laid-back and staff is very friendly. It's also a nice place to have a coffee and something sweet; their choice of sweets is rather untypically Austrian, though (they'd have shortbread and brownies, for example).
