Disappointing - Edit
They only have one vegetarian option, and if you decide to just have a coffee or tea, be prepared to pay a lot.

Restaurant with fantastic ocean view but not enough vegan options - Edit
The restaurant is very well located on the Côte des Basques, the view is breathtaking, the staff welcoming and the idea of offering drinks and tapas on the terraces facing the sun and the ocean is irresistible. We enjoyed very much drinking our cocktails on the bleachers.
Concerning the food, only one vegan option for the main dish: the veggie poke bowl at 16 euros. We had been attracted by the veggie croquetas on the menu outside but when we ordered them, we were told that the restaurant has recently changed management and the veggie croquetas have been removed. It's too bad because it was cool that night despite the beautiful sunshine and we would have liked something both warm and vegan. The veggie poke bowl and the tapas such as the pimientos de Pàdron and guacamole, being cold, didn't appeal to us. So my husband settled for the Conchiglioni with parsley pesto, mushrooms, parmesan, pine nuts, which is a veggie dish and not a vegan one, and I for a dish that made me sick during the night and that I choose to forget.
N.B.: the menu on the Surfing website is the old one. The veggie croquetas still appear on it.
We will come back, but probably only for a cocktail outside.
