Vegan pub as part of Le Public Space, a community-owned venue. Sep 2019 reported no longer using dairy cheese or honey in food. Open Mon-Tue 14:00-23:00, Wed 14:00-00:00, Thu-Fri 14:00-23:00, Sat 12:00-23:00, Sun 14:00-23:00. Usually stops serving food at 9pm, although on buiser nights can be earlier.

We made a special trip to Newport for dinner at Le Pub, and I can only say what an utter disappointment it was. From the uninterested teenagers behind the bar, to the over salted, over cooked food. Wouldn’t bother to return. Bad service, who didn’t seem to know much about veganism. Averagely priced.
Read moreCan imagine this would just be another rough pub in a rough area (Newport) on a weekend. Big student vibes and music was too loud for a meal and chance to eat. Tables are sticky and it was also really cold - in July.. Avoid!

Definitely the right place, and I stand by the review. My review is not bitter, just honest, and as an owner I would hope you take on the constructive critique rather than assume your paying customers are incorrect. It was exceedingly cold whilst sitting inside, yet was not really that cold outside in general.

Food was ok but nothing special when we went. Fries were tasty but the portion was a bit small. The burgers missed flavor and we're small. Unfortunately, they were also out of desserts.

Great vegan food, recently went to Le Public Space for something to eat and was really impressed! I’ve been frequenting Le Pub for the past 30 years and have always been a fan of the craft beer they sell. Obviously, like a lot of other independent venues like Le Pub they need to be diverse in such competitive times, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I was glad I did order food there as it’s really good wholesome pub grub, and it’s all vegan as well, bonus as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been telling friends and family to check out the food as well as the drinks in Le Pub! Love it!

Burgers and fries were so good. All items vegan, and staff were friendly and helpful. Non vegan friends with us who were also very impressed. We also got cupcakes which were delicious ! Played street fighter on the way out...great night will definitely return.

They have a small menu that has mostly vegan options. We had their pies, chips, cupcake with ice-cream and smoothy. It's a nice casual place. Has a big venue hire for free. They leave free sanitary towels for female guests which I feel is thoughtful.

The menu is Vegan and can be altered to Vegetarian. We had a good evening watching the screening of Dominion. My boyfriend and I had Vegan Burgers, one cost £7 and the other cost £9 including Chips. They also do Vegan cupcakes and desserts.
