Disappointing.

My cousin walked a mile from our hotel to this place to ask what time was last orders.
They told us 11.00 pm, and said booking wasnt needed just walk in
So we walked back a mile again at about 10.00pm. The waiter's told us they were shutting and said try again tomorrow!
What made it worse was that the hotel receptionist warned us they did this and had offered us a lift to another Indian restaurant but we declined because we had told the waiter at Le Penjeb we would be there.

Ok

The waiter was friendly and knew what vegan is. Pakora and Oignon Bhaja can be made vegan and Dal is anyhow. Nan is not vegan.
The Pakora and Oignon Bhaja were good, the Dal a little boring and the lentils a little undercooked.

Acceptable food with a few vegan options.

Asked for vegan and was grunted at. Had Onion Bhaji and a Dahl.
Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Make a better Dahl myself really.
Asked for a garlic Naan without butter and that was granted but pretty tasteless.

Pros: Some vegan options (not many)

Cons: Service a little French.

Not recommended

The food was acceptable but the waiter didn't even care to ask if we like our food spicy or not or if a vegetable dish was vegan.

We went there and asked for something vegan, they said it was only vegetarian.

Good Indian place

Great indian restaurant

They have different vegetarian dishes on their menu who are labelled as vegetarian. I had the samosas (vegetable filled bags) for starter and then the paneer cheese with spinach. It was really delicious! No vegan food labelled on the menue but I thinl some things might be vegan or could made be vegan. Really recommend it. Price was okay! And: I don't like too hot food but it wasn't hot at all!
