Can't trust them

We actually never went here because we scoped out the menu online first - http://www.restolekid.com/ - the vegetarian section of the menu includes shrimp and crab, the lasagna (marked as vegan!) has eggs. Who can trust them? Forget it.

Cons: what veg food?

Great food...very pricey.

Lots of vegan options. The food was great but cost about 50SFr for 2. This was without wine. Pretty much the only place to get vegan food in Geneva though. I recommend it if you can afford it. Staff doesn't speak English but can point out the vegan (vegetal) items and do their best to help otherwise. Found it a little uncomfortable in jeans and a sweatshirt as the place seemed kind of fancy.

Pros: good food, friendly

Cons: pricey

Expensive and unimaginative

A nice place with quite a few vegan options. No English menu, but the staff is English speaking and friendly.
However, the dishes are quite expensive (then again - it IS Geneva) and the food is unimaginative.
Nice to pass through if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way for it.

Pros: Friendly and English speaking, many vegan options

Cons: expensive, unimaginative

Remarkably good vegetarian cuisine

We ate at Le Kid in August 2009 and we were quite impressed. The servers are vegan-friendly if one can speak French; they understood clearly that we didn't want any animal products and they made a point to tell us which items were vegan, including the dressings and condiments, etc. Also, the menu employs a coding system in which all vegan dishes are marked with a "4*" so it's pretty clear. But, just to be sure, if you don't speak French, then it would be worth learning one phrase: "Je suis végétalien [male]/ végétalienne [female]," which means "I am vegan." There are about half a dozen vegan items, give or take.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor decor was a quirky assortment of memorabilia that gives the place character. The outdoor seating is good for peoplewatching, given the prime location near the University.

When the food arrived, it was a rare pleasure, as Le Kid really knows how to cook. We especially enjoyed the vegan brochette.

The bill was not cheap (about 30 Francs per person without drinks), but considering the quality of the food, we felt it was fair by Geneva standards.

Pros: Remarkably well-prepared food, reasonably vegan-friendly

Cons: Also serves meat, Not inexpensive

Good

Had lunch and dinner at Le Kid. Supposedly used to be all veg but said owner there was not enough demand in Geneva. They menu is 3/4 meat but there are still a 8 or so veg and vegan options. They have a menu available in English and vegan and veg options are clearly indicated. The waiter didn't speak English, so I had a hard time getting my questions answered. He brought me a dish with dairy due to miscommunication. I don't think many of their customers are vegetarian, so you need to ask questions and taste everything. There are tons of ethnic restaurants in the city but if you're in the mood for a more bistro-ish experience. Great option.

Pros: location, patio, food

Cons: waiter not aware of dietary rules, waiter didn't speak english, lot of meat on menu
