Warm welcome from the waitress, who assured us that vegan wasn’t a problem. Two main choices on the menu but she explained how she could make some of the other options suitable for us. My friend opted for the tagine and I went for the fig and almond salad, both of which were nicely presented and very tasty. She left out the cheese from my salad but offered to replace it with melon balls. When it came, there were also grapes. The only downsides were sitting within half a metre of another diner who was eating very smelly sausages, and the fact that there was only sorbet as a vegan dessert. She said she does sometimes have vegan dessert options but it depends on whether there’s much demand. I’d have thought demand doesn’t get much higher than in late August, so I imagine that it’s rare there are other choices.

Auf der Suche nach veganen Optionen in Beziers sind wir bei Le Johane fündig geworden. Beide Gerichte (Karotten-Kartoffel-Tofu-Curry mit Reis und Buddha Bowl) waren sehr lecker und im besten Sinne unprätentiös, und außerdem klar als vegan gekennzeichnet. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr nett. Eine klare Empfehlung.

Les options veganes et végétariennes sont bien indiquées sur la carte. Les produits sont sains, variés et les assiettes équilibrées. Le service est sympathique et la terrasse a le soleil à midi.

after discovering that other restaurants with vegan options are closed in this town, we found this place with a few vegan options! i had the buddha bowl, it was very nice & the staff was very friendly!
