Great Vegan Crepes! - Edit
Nothing on the menu is marked vegan, so I would have never known I could eat here, if not for Happy Cow. But the waitstaff was knowledgeable about vegan options, and I stuck to toppings I had read were vegan beforehand on Happy Cow. I got one sweet crepe (buckwheat with chestnut cream, strawberries, and maple syrup) and one savory crepe (buckwheat with mushrooms, asparagus, and tomatoes and a side of mustard). My one complaint was my own error, which was that I didn't get a sauce inside the savory crepe and it was really dry. If I were getting it again, I would get it with tomato sauce, instead of tomatoes.

Tasty and filling crepes - Edit
Based on other reviews here we weren't sure how it would go, but we were very happy with our one sweet crepe and one savory buckwheat crepe plus a couple of hot coffee beverages with oat milk.
Read moreOn the savory crepe, we got tomato sauce, tomatoes, asparagus, spinach, onion and a side of Dijon mustard. On the sweet crepe we got brown Chestnut Cream (the server checked with the chef and confirmed this was vegan), strawberries, bananas, and maple syrup. Ask them to omit the decorative whipped cream dollop that they will put on the side of the sweet plate.
Don't expect an eggy and fluffy crepe.
Pros: Filling and tasty
Cons: Expensive, but expected here, Vegan options not labelled

Vegetarians are not Angry - Edit
Vegetarians are not ‘angry’. When choosing the crepe from the breakfast menu special, I asked them to change the ham to spinach. She was happy to do it, and did not inform me that I would not be getting the breakfast special price. I asked to speak to the manager, who also told me that she was the owner. She seemed to be insulted that I’d expect them to change the ‘formula’. I’ve been coming here since the 1980’s. Restaurants that want to charge me $5 or $6 extra because they don’t want to accommodate vegetarians are really misunderstanding how to treat customers. The manager’s response was to tell me that “YOU’RE JUST ANGRY”. I left this bad business and chose to eat at another crêperie down the road, which was excellent.

A treat while in Quebec City - Edit
Greeted by a kind hostess and served by a very sweet and helpful waitress. Buckwheat crepe with spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Served hot off the grill with a steaming cup of hot chai oat milk and fresh squeezed orange juice. Both French and English spoken.

Tourist trap - Edit
Nothing clearly marked s vegan. Buckwheat pancake really dry- as no good toppings available to complement-not even vegan cheese. Small proportion of topics they do give aren’t enough for buckwheat not to overpower. And each ingredient/topic cost at lest $2.50 so ends up being really expensive-you leave hungry and bloated. And sad.

Yummy crepes and coffee - Edit
Ordered buckwheat crepe with strawberry filling and maple syrup. Very tasty, sweet, and filling. They also offer oat milk and soy milk for coffee (though there is an upcharge). I opted for an oat milk latte which was scrumptious. Prices were all very reasonable. Service was a bit slow and there was a line to get in, but I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Decent Crepes - Edit
I got the buckwheat crepes with blueberry filling and bananas, and a side of maple syrup. The flavor was decent, although the crepes were a bit hard to cut with a knife. The mimosa was great and the service was lovely.

nothing marked as vegan - Edit
very grateful to have tried buckwheat crêpes reminiscent of acadian ployes, but the furthest anything is labeled is “vegetarian.” this is still big for Québec, don’t get me wrong, but i even specified i’m vegan (in french) and my crêpes arrived with cream on the side, and no confirmation if the chestnut cream was vegan - now i’m sniffly and it’s hard to tell if it’s due to dairy or the cold. from what i could see the crêpes themselves aren’t even listed as vegan or not, there’s no dietary information available and wait staff, even at a slow time, didn’t confirm. they do offer soy milk with coffees and teas which is nice. i ordered my crêpe with fresh strawberries, and they loaded them in - love to see it.

Ok - Edit
Had the ‘eggs and greens’ savory pancake without the egg to make it vegan. It was ok: it was definitely lacking in flavor. We went around 5pm though and we had no wait at all unlike a number of people who go for brunch

A gem - Edit
There was a wait at this popular spot at 11:30 I the morning. We were seated at the bar overlooking the crepe making station. We were entertained by watching the non-stop action of the single chef keeping up with the orders. He cleaned the griddles between orders. However, there is not a dedicated grill for vegan and they do cook meat directly on the grill for sandwiches. It was slow service because it was so busy and there is one person preparing all the crepes. We would go back again.

Nice place, very slow - Edit
Had a very enjoyable evening here.
Read moreThe buckwheat crepes are authentic, and quite good.
Service is friendly, positive, welcoming.
Service though is extremely slow. I enjoy my wife’s company (good thing since we’re married and all) so it was a very nice evening regardless of service time. But the wait time for our food was so long that it almost seemed anti climactic when it arrived.
We would have ordered a dessert crepe if we thought it practical to do so, but things just took too long.
Pros: Good crepes., Many vegan options., Good ambience and location
Cons: Slow, very slow.

It was amazing to have real French crepes. The buckwheat crepes are vegan and many of the toppings are vegan or vegetarian. We had some with fruit filling and maple syrup, YUM. Warning, service is very slow. We were there for almost 2 hours!

Okay crepes - Edit
The buckwheat crepes are much heartier than the delicate treats I vaguely remember. The veggie one I ordered would have benefited from a sauce. I didn't see the chestnut cream listed in the description and the server seemed harried.
Read moreThe strawberry and maple syrup crepe came with a dollop of whipped cream on the plate. It was on the side and didn't ruin the dish, but still. Vegans should remind them not to add it.

Vegan crepes - Edit
This place was a nice surprise, pretty touristy but the crepes are good.
Read moreFor a vegan crepe, order a buckwheat crepe with fruit filling, maple syrup or chestnut spread. I believe they also have vegan savory fillings (vegetable sauces). My last visit was a while ago, so I recommend confirming this information with the staff.
