A perfect breakfast spot! - Edit
This restaurant has the best breakfast vibe! It’s relatively small, so you may encounter a small wait time, but it is a great place to go to breakfast! The menu has a lot of vegan options (at least 1/3 or 1/2 of the menu it felt like). Everyone in my group loved what they got!

Excellent breakfast! - Edit
I really enjoyed the vegan Benedict, the potatoes were perfectly crispy and salty, and the OJ tasted fresh-squeezed. I can’t wait to try their other vegan options.
Read moreUpdate: the vegan chicken and waffles is SO GOOD! The waffle was fluffy and delicious, the seitan was yummy, and the breading was crispy perfection. Very good BBQ sauce, too!

Go-To Brunch Spot! - Edit
Plenty of vegan options to choose from! I ordered their vegan scones, which were huge, and their Vegan Eggs Benedict. Absolutely delicious, was fantastic to devour. My wife got their lemon pancakes, which were also huge, very good and filling.
Read moreStaff was great! When I ordered the chai, I didn’t consider there’d be milk in it, but the waitress quickly noticed that most of us were vegan (based on what we were ordering, I’m sure) and corrected me that it had dairy in it. They have a bunch of local sources tea to choose from, so it wasn’t hard to choose something else.
Also loved the local artist artwork they have available for sale on the walls.
Will definitely go back to try their other vegan dishes!
Pros: Lots of vegan options, clearly marked on the menu, Fast and friendly service, Local run and everything they made is tasty 👅
Cons: Popular spot, so there was a 30-45 minute wait

Vegan Breakfast - Edit
We ordered Lazy Day Cafe for a to-go/pick-up order and everything we ordered was delicious. We tried the Vegan Benedict, Vegan Lemon Pancake, and Vegan Biscuits & Gravy. Everything was delicious and looked beautiful. Next time I'd ask for an extra side of gravy and hollandaise sauce for the meals(I just loved the flavors!) Highly recommend!

vegans & omnivores come thru - Edit
cute, simple café tucked in an East Millcreek strip mall. Service was super attentive! I ordered the vegan benedict which included some “hollandaise sauce”..... turns out not everything can be made vegan and that’s ok! Still enjoyed my brunch

Waffles 🧇 - Edit
We had an order of the waffles and the lemon pancakes. The waffle was big and crisp on the outside and soft and chewy inside with a blueberry compote and whipped cream. The lemon pancakes were great - never had anything like that before

Awful - Edit
I didn’t even get to eat here. We waited an hour with people who came after us seated before us. We left after an hour when we saw a waitress wipe up a mess in the floor and immediately grab a plate and served it to someone without washing her hands. Horrible experience!

many vegan choices - Edit
Lazy Day Cafe’s vegan menu has multiple choices, but my favorites are their Vegan French Toast, Vegan Jack Fruit Chile Verde Burrito, and their Vegan Benedict. The staff are very friendly and the food is consistently delicious. The decor is sparse but clean. Happy Cow allows a max of four stars for restaurants who also serve meat or animal products - even without this restriction 4 Stars is a fair evaluation for this classic American Diner. It’s always good, and it’s great to not only have “options” but actual vegan choices clearly marked Ⓥ on the menu. Today I chose the Vegan Benedict. Yum!

Vegie options - Edit
The chef that is cooking and setting up the menu is a vegetarian and is working on getting more vegetarian/vegan choices on the menu. Right now there is a killer vegan burrito made with jake fruit, potatoes and smothered in verde sauce, was more than I could eat in one sitting. The chef can make anything vegetarian or vegan and the price is inexpensive.
