Nice to have a drink (I didn't have food)

Nice place to sit and have a drink. I didn't have any food here, so I cannot comment on that. The options seem nice but not alot.

Overpriced Wetherspoons food

My katsu burger was literally just some chicken dippers in a bun with a bit of flavoured mayo, and the salt and chilli fries needed salt adding to them 💀 still hurting over how much I spent on the most average food I’ve had in a while

Dinner Party plate

Got the vegan platter, an impressively sized metal plate containing a range of nibbles.
In woodworkers, which they also own next door, menu is the same, however last year I got the salt and chilli tofu - which was absolutely beautiful. That's gone and a heavier emphasis put upon fake meats and cheeses, with even a vegan cheese plate offering which gets full marks for being something I have never seen anywhere else.
Pints tend to be good, craft beers in woodworkers and diageo / pump classics in Laverys.
Platter was ok. A decent amount, was informed they didn't have the cauli wings so swapped out for deep fried tofu, which wasn't that flavourful. Everything else was ok, not that remarkable.
They offer a vegan burger too, and this really is the kind of food you would want after 3 pints or so. Just for me it was better last year.
Price ok, speed of service very fast.

Pros: Quick , Varied , Unique pubby food

Cons: Not that tasty

Nice pub with lots of food

I came here for a dinner and drink on a rainy day. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and inviting environment, and happy to see that the menu had a number of clearly labelled vegan options. I shared the vegan platter for 4. It was a bit lower in protein than I hoped, and it had more fried food than I expected. But it was tasty and hit the spot. I followed it up with an apple tart. It wasn’t the best - it didn’t seem too fresh. The prices at Lavery’s are fair. I paid around £36 for the platter for 4 and around £5 per beer.

Woodworkers food baby!

Loads of different options at Woodworkers,
Cauliflower wings and chilli tofu were amazing for starter, then we both had the lentil pie. Absolutely unreal. Really good value for money.

They have other great options too that are definitely worth a try.

Update- 1/10/22, the no chick’n burger is super over kneaded seitan and not great. Definitely stick to the lentil pie.

Great atmosphere

First off I loved the Irish feel of this place, if you're coming in from out of town this is probably what you're looking for. The portions are HUGE, and there are plenty of options. The drinks were also great as well! I think our server was newer and didn't seem to know the menu very well but was very sweet!

Surprisingly lots of choice

A nice pub to spend time in. I had the vegan roast as it was Christmas time and the portion was absolutely huge. Lots of vegan options for mains, sides and desserts (half of the dessert options were vegan - unheard of!) which was lovely to see! All staff were very friendly and if you order a cocktail it comes from the adjoining cocktail bar.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly, relaxed atmosphere

Nice restaurant

Nice restaurant, some vegan options. I had the vegan plate with all kinds of goodies.

Pros: some vegan options

Cons: weird acoustics, it is very loud inside, as a vegan, I don't think it is ok to serve meat

Huge vegan platter

I got the platter and as stated above it was huge. It had cauliflower wings, huge sweet potato wedges, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, chickpea salad, spicy nuggets which I think were mostly chickpea, and salsa, guacamole and nachos for dipping. Very satisfying. And spicy! It would feed one hungry person or two not so hungry people. There were other vegan and veggie options clearly labelled on the menu too.

Pros: A couple of vegan options to chose from, Reasonably priced

Meal was just 'ok'

Went here for an evening meal. For my starter, I had the cauliflower wings in hot sauce, which were the highlight of the meal. The vegan sausage was very dense and bland, and tasted exactly the same as the vegan burger patty and chickpea bites. The food wasn't bad, just bland and unimpressive. Restaurant atmosphere was very nice and staff were friendly!

Pros: multiple vegan options, tasty cauliflower wings!, good drinks selection

Cons: bland food

Great vegan options and friendly service

We went to Lavery's in June 2017 for lunch as a group of 3 vegans and 2 vegetarians. It would be fair to say that none of us went hungry! The many vegan options were clearly marked, the food was very good and the service was excellent. We’d definitely come here again next time we’re in Belfast.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Cons: None

Fantastic!

Loved it here. Went to Woodchoppers, which is a beautiful place to eat (and drink). Food was great. Vegan offerings very well marked, and I loved my sausage mash plate, with delicious veggies and great sausage. Top place in Belfast for me so far. Would give it five cows if permitted.

Perfect for a night out!

I have always been a fan of Laverys food as an Omni and then vegetarian. When I heard they did vegan food I decided to book for my birthday and wasn't disappointed. I ordered a vegan platter and they accidentally brought me the vegan chilli, when I explained this they let me keep the chilli and then brought me the platter as well! This was great as I got to try 2 menu items at once and they were both delicious! Highly recommend!

Pros: serves all types of food, great cocktails, perfect

Cons: None
