Great for something quick - Edit
Had the mushroom tacos which were lite as listed on the menu and decent. It was a nice quick option especially on a Sunday when many places were closed. Great service and clean picnic tables outside.

Quick and easy - Edit
Laughing Planet has lots of clearly marked vegan options and is willing and able to modify other menu items to make them vegan. All their salad dressings are vegan (including a vegan caesar and an oil-free garlic tahini) and they have tofu, tempeh, and vegan cheese. It's a good spot for a quick, healthy, and satisfying bite. They have multiple locations around Portland which I have made use of many times when out and about with people who are resistant to going to an all-vegan restaurant (and also when I'm by myself).
Read moreI like the Thai bowl (tofu, green beans, broccoli, rice, cilantro-lime slaw, Thai peanut sauce), the tempeh royale burrito (rice, beans, tempeh, kale, guac), and the kale caesar.
Pros: Has tofu, tempeh, and vegan cheese, Menu clearly labels vegan options
Cons: Parking is tough at this location

Amazing with non-vegans - Edit
This cafe had their whole menu able to be turned vegan, and had already vegan options as well! I found this place to be a perfect lunch to have with non-vegans since there was something for everybody. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a bite while being in a group of non-vegans

Bean burrito vegan style - Edit
It’s fast food style, order, get your number and sit down wherever you’d like. Of course the vegan options are healthier and delicious so that’s a plus. I got the bean burrito, there were a few other options to choose from and you can switch things around to make it your own. I recommend this place for a quick bite or lunch spot when you don’t have much time. Staff was really friendly and patient.

Super happy with the Laughing Planet and will definitely be back again. Numerous vegan options which are clearly labelled, and good vibes and atmosphere overall. I had the veggie bowl which was both delicious and oil-free which was a plus! Will definitely be back again to try the plethora of options they provide :)

Decent tasty vegan options - Edit
I recently had a post-drinks Thai bowl here, and though I had been craving more of a junk food thing, this totally satisfied me. It was flavorful and seemed healthy. The non-GMO chips are a nice bonus too!

Laughing Planet Cafe - 21st Ave, Portland - Edit
I lunched here yesterday and started off by asking the guy behind the counder what was suitable for a vegan vegetarian. I was told that anything on the menu could be made vegan friendly. I went for the gaspacho as a starter and then the special of the day burrito as a main, both were very nice.
