My whole family loved the food! Overall my fave was the cornbread. Choose the spicy option definitely.

Been following Latina's Kitchen for several months on Instagram and was stoked to see a post that they were taking pre-orders for vegan pasteles. After following directions to email my order and contact, I received a reply a few days later with confirmation. I placed an order for 10 vegan mild pasteles ($4.00 ea) - which if you see what goes into making pasteles, is a good price. Shannan, the owner, texted me updates regarding my order as well as updating everyone on Instagram. We met a few days later for pick-up.

I have not eaten a pastele in over 5 years and was really looking forward to trying them. I was brought back to my Abuelo's kitchen to when I was a child - a feeling that I have not felt in over 20 years ... the flavors were amazing and I cried as I was so happy to feel and taste the sabor de mi gente. The pastele was a little different as it had tofu, sweet potatoes, and purple potatoes in it this time, but it was so flavorful and the texture was on point - I would not change a thing.

Stoked to be able to have a dish that I loved as a child and share with mi familia, but without the cruelty.
