Noisy, tasty, friendly - Edit
Tiny evening menu. Two main courses - a cold noodle salad or fried rice. Each with a choice of chicken, pork or tofu. The tofu was delicious and egg was omitted from the rice dish. No vegan sweet offerings. There are a few tofu starters/snacks if you want double tofu! After we ordered I noticed a specials board with a vegan adaptable cheese toasty and a vegan soup with sourdough option. I tried a natural wine which was interesting. Very noisy- just voices/laughter and hard surfaces I think. Group of ladies enjoying their cocktails and a few couples, a couple of children and a dog, so pretty inclusive. More folk drinking than eating. Helpful, staff. Happy we visited. Got served the food quickly which gave us a chance to enjoy a walk afterwards. Quite the opposite to the cafes website which is all about a slow pace of life (we got a quick plate of food in a very noisy environment) which amused me!

A cafe by day (must go back to try coffee) and cute tapas bar with yummy cocktails in the evening.

Best vegan choices - Edit
We love Lateral. It’s our go to local cafe and we’re so lucky to have it on our doorstep. Lots of imaginative and delicious vegan choices on the breakfast, lunch and evening menus. Always lots of vegan cakes. Coffees great and choice of milks. Fantastic cocktails. Staff always friendly and welcoming even when busy.

Since coming across this place several months ago I just can’t keep away. The menu consists of mostly plant based foods with an option to add meat or eggs.
