Vegan Breakfast in Blackpool

🌱 VEGAN BREAKFAST BUN
💰: £6.30
💭: when I say this was the best breakfast bun I’ve ever had… I am not lying (I am still craving one of these again). This was delicious and filling! It was a potato bun with a vegan sausage patty, sliced avocado, bloody mary tomato sauce, vegan cheese, and red onion.
🤷🏽‍♀️: Order again? 110% Yes - I will be back

📝: This is a busy vegetarian cafe. They know where their food and drinks come from, ensuring sustainability. They sell small plants. Very homely vibe. Worth going for breakfast. Staff were incredibly lovely.

Pros: Friendly Staff

Best cafe in town

Genuinely my favourite spot in Blackpool, even before I went veggie. The food is exquisite, leagues ahead of most places in town, regularly updated menu and longstanding dishes being tweaked and improved. The people running the place obviously enjoy the work and it shows. You can't visit Blackpool and not stop in here. You can also buy plants.

Pros: Great food, Great drinks, Great plants

Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options

I’ve been here twice with friends! The food is incredible, the atmosphere is very chilled, and the staff are lovely. Resh helped me pick out a plant (still thriving after a year!) and recommended drink and food options. As a gluten-free vegetarian, I am really restricted in where I can eat, but Upside Down has huge options and they are willing to accommodate where possible. Dog friendly!

Alright

I was a bit grumpy because Blackpool was not the easiest place to find a vegan breakfast and was disappointed that they didn't have many options (one). I liked the coffee flight but we were too early for the lunch options and already planned to eat lunch later. We decided to go have vegan patties all round in the end because we were hungry and they were really nice.

A lovely find for breakfast!

Visited after reading reviews - so glad we went! Thankfully got there just in time for the vegan breakfast bun which was lovely. Excellent coffee, lovely plants, great service and atmosphere. Will be visiting again because there are lots of things on the menu that need trying, and then I need to get started on the cake selection...!!!

Nice little cafe

Cute little café which also sells plants with super friendly staff. When we were there they were short staffed, so they only had two lunch options, a ciabatta sandwich and a sausage burger, which both could be made vegan. Both tasted very nice, as did the cinnamon roll.

Pros: Nice atmosphere , Friendly staff

Amazing cafe

Such an awesome place, I really like this place went to it 3 times in 2 weeks and going to go for a 4th time hopefully on weekend cuz they have a different menu on weekends, all staff are lovely and the Caffè latte is one of the best I've had , the vegan cheese and onion jam toastie was amazing and they sell plants too. I really hope more people get to enjoy this cafe like I did.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Caffè latte with oatmilk is one of the best, Very friendly service

Wonderful food, friendliest staff, great coffee and so clean - what more could you wish for?
So proud of my son Kevyn when told several customers had recommended No Catch in Brighton 💚

Vegan haven in a desert of junk food

Finally managed to visit this gem on a bitterly cold Wednesday. Not too busy. Relaxed friendly staff. We had the chickpea pancakes with aubergine curry which was delicious. Couldn't resist the chocolate chip cookies. They were perfect. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Coffee was excellent too. Can't wait to go again.

Pros: Tasty food, Plants for sale

Cons: Maybe add one or two more dishes to the menu, No soya milk for my tea

Fantastic little Gem.

A great little place just hidden around the corner of st John's square, Blackpool.
The menu is limited but the presentation and the quality is amazing.
The coffee alone is worth visiting, but do not deny yourself the chance to try the food.

Lovely place

Everything on the menu looked great here - we had the chickpea pancakes and a seitan dish, both of which were very tasty. Friendly staff who were still in the masks post-19/07/21 and asked for us to be when not seated. Also, loads of plants everywhere! Lovely.

Pros: Great menu, Plants!, Covid safe

Cons: Mostly vegan , so it'd be great if they removed dairy altogether

Unique and brilliant food, brilliant coffee, plants, plants, plants

Upside Down has a light, airy, modern but welcoming feel. It's a cool place but the staff are really friendly. The gorgeous plants (which are for sale) are lovely to sit amongst. The coffee here is exceptional. I've tried the espresso tasting flight, and the hand brew. The depth and complexity of flavour is really special.

Speaking of flavour: The food. So, they serve small plates, stuff on toast: It's a café, right? But don't be fooled, this is a serious eating experience. I've been a couple of times now, just to try as many of the different offerings as I can. They're all great, each one memorable, original and unique, but my two favourites so far were: "Creeping Death" - a layer of homemade spinach pesto brings the savoury garlic depth, while on top of that is heaped smokey, tangy, rich tomato in a kind of warm salsa, which just explodes flavour, finished with earthy kale crisps. And "It Is What It Is", which is pure American junk food indulgence, but both elevated and veganised. The seitan in a crisp, nutty crumb is the best fried ch*cken you ever had. The smoked tofu is like an aged jerky. The BBQ sauce is knockout.

There's also beautiful teas expertly brewed, hand made cakes, and... Irn Bru, because this is still Blackpool.

Nobody visiting Blackpool who appreciates quality sustenance - vegan or otherwise - should skip Upside Down.

Fantastic veggie/vegan cafe!

This fab wee vegetarian/vegan cafe in the heart of Blackpool is just delightful! Great atmosphere, great service and most of all great food, with plenty of vegan options available. There's a proper chef so this is no 'Linda McC's sausages on a barm' place, really interesting food options available. Definitely recommend this place as an escape from the hotdogs and candy floss 😊

Pros: Vegan options available, Great atmosphere, Great service
