Good for big groups - Edit
Went here for a 3 course birthday meal. Nachos to start, not the best. Just a load of vegan grated cheese thrown on which wasn't melted so it was hard to eat as it didn't stick to the chips!
Read moreHad a curry for main, decent but nothing mind blowing. I enjoyed it.
Dessert was really interesting and tasty. Coconut Panna cotta with popping boba! A delicious way to finish off the meal.
Drinks were good. Service was very good, there were 18 of us and they got everyone's orders right and service was well paced.
Would recommend as a place for big groups like this but I wouldn't choose it on food alone.
Pros: Clearly labelled vegan options , Punctual service

Delicioso - Edit
Had the vegan burrito and a mocktail, it was tasty and affordable (always check the website for offers). Menu is clearly labelled with vegan options. Viviana the server was attentive and service was fast.

Disappointing - Edit
Has clearly marked vegan options but what I had (I can’t remember what it was) tasted awful and I couldn’t finish it. I’m not usually picky. My husbands meal was average and the final cost was pretty high. Overall wouldn’t recommend!

It was pretty ok… - Edit
The extensive menu has clearly marked vegan items…but maybe the extensive menu that is the reason the food is somewhat mediocre. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing either.

Tequila! - Edit
I love the deals on cocktails that this place has - and the variety! The piña colada is by far the best. Plenty of filling vegan options as well.

Alright food, nice drinks - Edit
For a chain the food is tasty, but not particularly innovative or interesting. Good if you need somewhere to go as a large group or with people who won't eat vegan. Nice cocktail selection.

Good food, slow service. - Edit
A favourite place to visit with friends (two for one cocktails is a total win). Food is always delicious but service here is absolutely terrible - ridiculously slow.

Great food and drinks - Edit
If you want a cocktail, this is one of my favourite places for one. They have a huge range available and good offers too. I always love the food with lots of veggie and vegan options that look and taste as amazing as the non-veg dishes, and the staff pay close attention to your requirements. My only complaint is that it's usually very loud in the restaurant, regardless of the time of the day, and usually I'm there just to eat my dinner and spend time with whoever I'm eating with, so having to shout through the whole conversation is exhausting.

Happily surprised! - Edit
Las Iguanas restaurant is specialised in South American cuisine. Their menu is divided by countries and they have a vegetarian & vegan menu . The atmosphere is lively and the decor is very simple and colorful, as if it’s always a party! The nachos with jalapenos, guacamole and cheddar are tasty and perfect for sharing even though the vegan cheese is not the best, more cooked than melted crusty on the top and is definitely laking in guac! The Smoked Chipotle pulled jackfruit burrito bowl is basically a burrito wrap breakdown: all the ingredients that would normally go into a wrap, are instead arranged on a plate. The picture on the menu is something completely different from the original (photoshop effect), this can leave you with a sort confusion and the portion is a bit small to be honest. However, the pulled jackfruit is cooked to perfection, the “meat” was fleshy and firm with a beetroot cream so sweet that can be mistaken for raspberry coulis. The grated vegan cheddar on top doesn’t make a lot of sense, but it has a very delicate taste doesn’t spoil the whole dish! The chocolate cake is literally life! A mind blowing foodgasm! With a really thick texture, it was take you to heaven with just one bite. The coconut ice cream is pretty ordinary yet essential.

Great service - Edit
The waiter was really welcoming and asked if I needed a veggie menu the moment I walked in without me even asking! He also knew which wines were vegan. I had the guacamole and also a jackfruit burrito, both of which were quite good. Not the best Mexican food I have ever had, but still tasty and overall a good meal.

Quinoa and Avo Bowl - Edit
Quinoa and Avo Bowl is delicious and filling. Separate menu is vegetarian, marked with dishes that are vegan and dishes that can be made vegan if you ask. There are some things you would think could be made vegan but aren't marked as such, such as the sweet potato fries and jackfruit & beetroot burrito.

Great food and service - Edit
Mum and I visited Las Iguanas for lunch yesterday. We were greeted upon arrival and shown to a table overlooking the river. When I explained that I have several food allergies and intolerances and also required vegan food, the manager came to the table to personally assist me. He checked on ingredients and recommended a dish for me, which had to be altered slightly to suit my needs. The other members of staff were friendly and pleasant too. I had vegan fajitas which were really tasty and a refreshing drink of watermelon juice.

Good and exotic tasting food - Edit
I have been to Las Iguanas three times, and have been happy with the food each time. There are three choices for vegans but I have had the Bahia Moqueca each time. The quality has varied from excellent to decent but is still a good choice for a vegetarian or vegan group. I have heard good things about the fajitas from my friends as well.
Read moreThe tables are spaced quite far apart so you don't need to worry about being right next to someone eating a steak, but it is quite busy and noisy on some evenings so bear that in mind. I think it would be a lovely place to eat in the summer, with the tables in the plaza at the front.
The one thing that would make this place better is a vegan dessert choice on the menu, I have contacted them to ask if this is possible and they are looking into it...
Pros: Really tasty and unusual, The choice of drinks is excellent, The atmosphere is very fun and lively
Cons: Not exclusively vegetarian, Not the cheapest restaurant, Service can be slow
