My second home - Edit
I go here usually once a week with my partner and/or friends. I could never get tired of it. Really good vegan options, and they know how to cook tofu just right- perfectly crispy! Veggies always taste fresh. The staff are incredibly welcoming, caring and hilarious. Tao always remembers our favorite orders, including starting us off with temple rolls and our favorite sake without even having to ask. Dan, the owner, loves her customers like family. Couldn’t recommend Lang Van more! “See you tomorrow!”

Excellent service and vegan options! - Edit
I had house special hot pot. It was super delicious. Comes in an adorable clay hot pot. I gave instructions to the lady who took our order that I do not want any fish/oyster sauce and I did not have to even mention anything else. She knew exactly what vegan was and that took my worry away.

i am honestly heartbroken i no longer live in charlotte solely because i miss this place. i have been searching for a local replacement vietnamese restaurant but i am learning nothing will ever come close to lang van. their menu is huge but they somehow pull it off. the owner and staff are so cute. my go-to’s were the tofu rolls, stir fried vermicelli curry with tofu, and their veggie coconut curry.

One of my favorites - Edit
My boyfriend and I frequently go here to eat. We always get the same thing. #71 no egg for me and #72 no onion for him. We’re greeted with “hello my friends!” when we go in and that same lady always comes to our table and says exactly what we want with our mods. It’s amazing to have someone remember you and know what you’re getting. The service is never bad. Our water cups are constantly being filled up which is great because we drink a lot of water. But anyway - the food is delicious. Their fried tofu is to die for and I mean you can never go wrong with veggies and rice. We are always craving this meal. Love love love. You feel like family here.

My family and I go to Lang Van frequently. They are the nicest group of people that work their even remembering most of the regulars that go there. Not to mention their food is delicious. I always get something with their garlic tofu on it whether it be the rice noodles, fried rice, or even the spring rolls. Everything I have had from there is delicious.

Unassuming restaurant with amazing food. You will feel like family. I come here almost every week I enjoy it so much. Food is made fresh, so you can just tell them what you can or can't eat or even what you like and they will accommodate. The tofu is amazing.

The staff will remember you and your order even if you only went once before! They’re so welcoming! The vibe is very hole in the wall, authentic and quick service! Prices are high but food is delicious! Plenty of vegetarian options.. vegan options are doable with some tweaking! I’m honestly not quite sure as far as fish sauce goes or how they prep their foods and whether some things you believe to be vegan actually fully are... but the food is yummy!

This is one of our go-to spots. Not the most attractive exterior, but comfortable and welcoming inside. They remember our favorites, greet us with hugs, and always make a fuss over our kids. Food is very good. We love the tofu spring rolls and vegan pho.
