VG around the corner surpasses this by a thousand - Edit
I literally travelled to Paris to come here and buy everything.
Read moreI was first disappointed in the behaviour of the staff. Very rude, very unprofessional and didn't make an effort. I am British, so I understand there's a language barrier. But cracking up at everything I say, even when I just point at what I want because, well, we're gonna be here forever, is just unacceptable. I was damn near irritated.
I tried the chocolate and plain croissants, the brownie, the soups, the monkey cookie and some breads throughout my party and my stay.
Everything was borderline awful to mediocre.
The soups were coloured water and that ain't a joke. No flavour whatsoever. With some pepper and salt, we managed to make them edible.
The traditional loaf, fantastic. But the sourdough they serve with the soup was so stale and barely chewable.
The brownie was more of a dry chocolate crumble cake..
The monkey cookie was a mess, I can't even describe it to be honest.
My croissants were okay. I've tasted better in the UK to be fair.
However, I wanted to compare so I went to VG which is a 4m walk away and my oh my what a contrast. I suggest you do the same.
Pros: Food was edible if you're starving , French loaf was good , Near to train station
Cons: Rude staff, Everything lacks flavour , Not worth the trip

Worth the hype for pastries - Edit
I wish there were more of these throughout the city as they were so good for breakfast and lunch. The pastries and sandwiches were amazing and the quiche is a must try!

This place really saved us for some day trips - Edit
We had breakfast here two times and also bought sandwiches for daytrips here. It's great they have sandwiches ready to go, including a tofu sandwich and a chickpea salad sandwich. We enjoyed their quiche, a croque monsieur, and various pastries. I have to say that this was the best cappuccino I had in Paris.

The best pain au choc and lunch spot - Edit
This was one of the most exceptional places I have visited as a vegan! The best pain au choc and croissant in Paris (light and soft and flakey and PERFECT), plus an amazing lunch spread - quiches to die for, incredible salads and flatbreads. I genuinely want to go back to Paris so that I can return here!!

So beautiful and delicous - Edit
It's one of the Land&Monkey stores with a big variety of pastries, hot beverages like coffee and sandwiches. Such a wide range! Everything we tried was delicous and so beautiful. It also seems very popular in this area, because there were many customers.

Loved it - Edit
I had breakfast two times here and I tried a lot of different things, sweet and savory, and everything was really delicious. Among the cakes that I tried my favourite was pure origine. I also really liked the focaccia (I had the one with potato and broccoli), the umami sandwich and the tomato bread (me and my husband ordered it two times). I would go back to Paris just to eat here another time!

Great coffee and nice staff - Edit
While in Paris we are trying out all the Land and Monkeys and I’m so pleased when I see these places busy. There was enough room for a seat today and it’s in a good area. I had a cappuccino and a cinnamon roll and croissant. Again, this place in every branch is consistently good and the staff were nice. Good prices for pastries (not inflated prices due to being vegan). Highly recommend

Good brunch - Edit
We had a good brunch here, we ordered hot chocolate (which we found a bit too expensive), a quische lorraine (which was pretty good), and a small kouglof (which was a bit dry, but still tasty). The place was full on saturday early-afternoon.

Did not disappoint - Edit
I worry that the hype will exceed the reality. Not this time. Had an excellent quiche for lunch with a brioche and chocolate tart on the side. Loved it all! I plan to go there at least one more time before leaving Paris. Oh, the cinnamon role I got for take away was also very nice.
