Tasty food. Bizarre pricing - Edit
Tons of vegan options, including my favorites: handmade veggie potstickers, lotus root salad, a chili cucumber, mapo tofu, and a fab hand-pulled ginger scallion noodle dish.
Read moreI adore the food, but I cannot figure out how they price things. A cucumber with chili oil is $8. I mean, it's a darn good cucumber, but it's just a cucumber. The Mapo tofu is $15, and usually, it's enough for me to get 1.5 meals out of it, while the water spinach, which is literally just some kind of green vegetable cooked in some garlicky sauce, is $20. I have had the water spinach and have been captivated by its siren spell and have shelled out the $20 for the stupid plate of vegetables and nothing else, but I die a little every time I do it.
The vibe is really nice inside and makes a great date night.
My only "con" is that the vegetables tend to be more expensive than many of the meat entrees. Honestly, it's kind of baffling (and a bit frustrating), but all the food is really, really good, so we keep going back (and ordering that dang $8 cucumber).

Pros: Delicious food, Lots of options, Great atmosphere
Cons: Weirdly expensive plates of vegetables, Mapo tofu does not come with rice , Can get a little loud

Excellent food - Edit
Though I haven't visited in-person since before switching to plant based, I have ordered delivery from Lan Ramen a number of times. I believe it's only recently that they've added clear markings for what's vegan to their website menu, but that makes it easier than ever. All of the vegan dishes I've had have been well-cooked, well-seasoned, and delicious. I'd most recommend the Ma Po Tofu and the Celtuce - the celtuce in particular is something I haven't found anywhere else in the area, especially clearly marked vegan. It's always cooked just to the point it's soft but maintains crispness, and comes with similarly well-cooked wood ear mushrooms in a light sauce. It's also very useful that their menu clearly identifies gluten free dishes and those containing nuts, in addition to vegan and vegetarian.
Read moreOne note: all of the non-appetizer vegan dishes currently run $15.50 to $23 on the delivery app I use - I'm not sure if this is higher than in-person, but it is higher than what is listed on their website menu.
Pros: Great food, Large portion sizes, Offers delivery through multiple delivery apps
Cons: Only one vegan tofu dish, Relatively expensive
