Woah - fun flavor profile - Edit
Chinese Mexican blend food. Fun concept, great flavor. I didn’t tell staff that I was vegan, but based on ordering Tofu she asked if I was to confirm the sauce on the dish wasn’t vegan. Love when staff is knowledgeable about plant based items! They have some great options, would definitely return.

Unique and delicious food - Edit
My partner and I ordered the spring rolls, chipotle udon noodles and pad Thai. Everything was very good, definitely different than other udon noodles dishes I’ve had before. Servers were very knowledgeable about what items were or could be made vegan.

Delicious! I have to go back - Edit
I LOVED this food. I have to go back because I still want to try so many more things! I'd give it 5 stars if I could! The tofu is so perfectly marinated and the sauces are so tasty! I loved that basically anything could be veg if you just did tofu!

Fabulous - Edit
My omni friend and I ate here during a layover and found the food to be fresh, creative and overall amazing. My friend loved her Mexi Bibimbap, and I devoured the Mexi Pad Thai and a Kale Arugula Salad with a wonderful ginger lime dressing. Lalo is a casual table service restaurant with a relaxed and funky vibe. The servers know their menu and vegan options well. Can't wait to get back to Cincinnati for another opportunity to dine here again!

Big portions, great food - Edit
The menu is very vegan-friendly, and our server was very knowledgable & friendly. I had the Mexi Bibimbap which was is great. Honestly it could have had more flavor, but the serving sizes were absolutely huge. Most places skimp on tofu, but Lalo did not which was fantastic to see. The Dip the Chips sampler has 3/4 vegan sauces, the mild & hot (not spicy enough) salsa, and the guac are vegan as-is.

Fusión Chino Latino with Vegan Options - Edit
1st time here. Google had a notice that read “busier than usual”. Not sure what that was about because when I walked in, there was only 1 other table occupied. Friendly service. Bright space. Table and bar seating available. Latino music playing in the background. Aside from the menu, I didn’t see much of an Asian influence in the decorations or music.
Read moreVegan food is easily identified on the menu. They could do a better job by having vegan cheese and vegan sauce options. I started with the House-made Chunky guac. Chips were made in house, crispy and delicious. Guac was fresh and tasty. Nice portion size for two people. The server recommended the Mexi Spicy Miso Ramen dish and I am glad I didn’t argue with her. It comes with Tofu, kale, corn, mushroom, & pico de gallo. Make sure to remind them to remove the egg. The ramen was packed with flavor and had a nice kick to it. The dish was also a very nice portion size and enough to fill you up.
I would come back again to try other vegan dishes.
Pros: Friendly service, Vegan options clearly marked, Various vegan options available - not just one
Cons: No vegan cheese options , No vegan sauce options (Siracha mayo)

A good dinner place - Edit
Lalo is downtown and not in otr. Not sure if it gets a lot of traffic but there are some good options. The bibibap, pad thai and bean mushroom quesadilla are really good. You do have to sub things out but they are aware what vegan is. I usually replace anything nonvegan with avocado. I forget if they upcharge. The flavors are great and this restaurant is in my rotation.
