Terrible place, not interested in customers - Edit
If one has a restaurant one must treat ones customers with respect. They were disrespectful and gave us terrible food and were only interested in the money. Get involved in another business that only involves making money if that’s all you are interested in.

Delicious Vegan Food! - Edit
My husband & I found Lalitana’s Restaurant to be super stylish, inviting and clean. We ordered the vegan Buddha bowl and the chickpea burger, both dishes were delicious and fairly priced. The Jade Green smoothie and apple & ginger homemade lemonade were wonderful accompaniments to our lunch. They have a great company ethos and are also a plastic free restaurant. They can also point you in the right direction if you’re looking for a good yoga studio whilst you’re in Lagos. Enjoy!

Hi there happy costumers!
Read moreThank you so much for coming and for enjoying our food! We really appreciate your lovely words and for taking the time to write us!
However may I just correct you, we do serve food from 3pm to 6pm, just not the lunch menu but we have lots of options for eating in the afternoon, as you can see in our menu: https://www.lalitana.com/pdf/restaurant_menu_dinner.pdf
Sincerely,
The Lalitana Team

Worth a visit - Edit
My served dishes were Hummus Pitta, a Falafel Salad, a Chocolate tarte with nuts and a strawberry smoothie. It was all very delicous and I enjoyed my time spent here. It's a vegetarian restaurant, but most of their offered dishes are vegan and clearly labeled on the menu. My orders came fast and the staff was really friendly. It was a cozy atmosphere with relaxing music playing in the background.

Tasty food - Edit
Wasn’t feeling inspired by the menu but we ate here because Beats and Burritos was too busy. Food was super tasty. We had the Coco gratin and the penne. We would def eat there again. Def an entree plus main affair. Wasn’t full from just a main.

We had the budda bowl, which tasted nice and was filling. But €13 for one bowl, seems too expensive compared to other restaurants in the Algarve.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good taste

Yoga place - Edit
A very special place in the yoga mood. It has the guesthouse, yoga classes and a nice restaurant with veg food. I liked the atmosphere and interior. Falafel was great. So was the tea. Maybe next time I would check out the guesthouse.

Many vegan options! - Edit
Lalitana is a vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. All the mains were vegan. There’s something for everyone: a burger, a pasta dish, a risotto, salads, falafel , hummus, vegetables with tofu, a bowl… I had the burger and liked it. The atmosphere and staff are nice, it is quite a big place. I only give 5 stars to places where I find truly great, inspiring food – here the food was very good and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back, but for me it lacked something special.

delicious shelter on rainy day! - Edit
everything about our day was going wrong, it was raining a lot and we couldn't find any place with warm vegan food to eat, since our phone battery died, so when we were about to give up and just go to a supermarket and get some fruit to eat we stumbled across this place in one of the secundary streets of town. When we got in, the place was warm and cozy, the waitress was nice and welcoming and then she informed us that the kitchen is about to close in 2 minutes but they would be able to cook for us, which made our day! From then on everything was great, we had this delicious plate called Vegan Coco Gratin, which is made with several vegetables in layers with coconut milk and sauce and cashewnuts oven cooked, and my husband had the veggie burger which was also delicious with a dark brown bread and served with some potato wedges. Then we stayed for a while just waiting for the rain to stop and having a coffee with vegan milk and a delicious vegan carrot cake, which was just one of the 3 vegan cakes that they had at the moment and we were thinking about trying one of the others but our stomach couldn't fit anything else inside 😝
Read moreThis place made our day, the waiter was always kind and happy to help. The cook also came out of the kitchen and greeted us, she appeared to be the owner of the place.

Extremely poor food - Edit
We had the hummus & pitta and vegan spreads & small dried tostadas to start. The hummus was tasty, the dips adequate, if a bit baby food-ish.
Read moreThe mains are where the real let-down was. I would normally never take the time to write something this negative about a vegan/vegetarian place, but this was beyond disrespectful towards the customer.
The green lentil coconut curry was served on a shallow dinner plate and was literally just that: a few spoonfuls of overcooked green lentils surrounded by lukewarm coconut sauce and a few slices of potato. When it arrived the sauce had stared to from a film on it. It was edible, but for 11.50€ I needed another meal.
The chickpea burger tasted like it was a random frozen patty.
We were hungry so of course polished it all off, but it looks like this place doesn’t have a chef with a knack for food, or at least s/he wasn’t on duty that night.
When we complained we were given a dish of hummus & pitta on the house. It could have been my paranoia by that point, but the hummus tasted completely different from the starter we had had earlier. It had a very strong taste of mould that left a bitter taste in the mouth for a while after so I didn’t risk eating more of it.
We left over 30€ poorer, were still hungry and extremely disappointed. The waiter said he accept our complaint as our opinion because people have different opinions. It is our firm opinion that this place should start taking food seriously if they wish to continue charging money for it. At the moment they’re only letting down vegan food and the place doesn’t really deserve the extra star Happy Cow rewards automatically for vegan/vegetarian places - it was a 1-star experience, if not 0.
