Delicious and healthy food

Delicious and healthy vegan lunches at a reasonable price, and super-friendly people! I'm partial to the tahini taco and sweet shallot flatbread, but have never had anything here that wasn't very tasty!

Everything is gluten-free and nut-free, and other dietary concerns can be accommodated. Most of the produce is fresh from the Farmer's Market, where LatS is located. The plates, utensils, etc. are eco-friendly. As of this writing, all prices are below $8.

A personal and NJveg member favorite. Even some non-veg friends have enjoyed the food. Wish we lived closer!

Pros: Delicious, healthy food, Super-friendly, Inexpensive

Cons: Limited hours, Limited seating

Amazing Food!

I ordered lunch by finding the restaurant on this app and I couldn’t be happier. I got the Greek salad and it is so delicious! I asked for something spicy on the side so they wrote me a personal note that they included spicy chickpeas and spicy sauce, both of which were not mentioned as options for a Greek salad. You get a big portion and a great, mix unique of toppings. The taste and personal touch are enough to make me excited to reorder!!

Pros: Great selection, Amazing taste, Fast delivery and accurate order

Cons: Nothing

Entire menu is vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free! Very clean eating.

What a hidden little gem! Being both vegan and gluten-free can be challenging. I like when I come to Lady and the Shallot I don't have to worry about those restrictions. The entire menu is vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free! The food is great tasting and clean. The mushroom cap panini is the best thing on the menu (gluten-free bread used, of course). The rainbow tacos are tasty, well. The owners are super friendly and diligently answer any questions people may have. Very down-to-earth, cool people. They are ready to address any concerns for those worried about allergens. Stop by and give these ladies a try!

Have to try!

I found The Lady and the Shallot yesterday when I typed in my address into Happy Cow and hoped something close would come up. I was so happy to see this place pop up because it was close!
I went in with my mom (who is not vegan and generally "doesn't like vegan food") just hoping for the best. I am SO beyond happy I did because not only did I have a fantastic lunch- I found my new favorite spot.
We shared the tahini tacos (to die for!!), the market Salad (huge and refreshing!) and we ended with the chocolate pizza which had banana and raspberries (My mom ate this without knowing what was in it and loved it!!). The owners were beyond nice and answered the questions I had and made me feel welcome. I saw a sign they posted that said they used eco-friendly products which is really cool. They are also nut and gluten free which is great for anyone who has those issues.
I honestly can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. I would recommend this place to vegans and nonvegans just because it is so good!!!

Pros: Amazing food, Great owners, Decent prices and lots of food

My First Chickpea Taco

I have visited Lady and the Shallot a few times when I was in the New Jersey area ( I live in Delaware) and I have to say that I was very impressed. I went with a few friends and we decided to try a few items on the menu. We tried the rainbow tacos, avocado toast, and also the salad. I have to say I had never had a chickpea taco (rainbow taco)but it was amazing and that’s actually the reason that I’ve gone back. Lady and the Shallot is in the middle of the Trenton Farmers Market so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The atomopshere was cozy and the workers were super friendly and I can tell they pay attention to all the details with their food. They use fresh products, the food is delicious , and they aim to please the customers. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into their business. If you ever get a chance to go to the Trenton Farmers Market take a few minutes and grab food there you won’t be disappointed and your stomach will thank you. Never in a million years did I think I would write a review about a chickpea taco but it’s that good! If you are Vegan or not you’ll love their food!!

Pros: Delicious Food, Friendly/Accommodating Staff, Variety of Choices on the Menu

A gem

Located in the Trenton’s farmer market, lady and the shallot has wonderful vegan, raw vegan, and gluten/nut free options. The owners are almost always there and are happy to answer any questions and are very friendly, as are the staff. The Italian flatbread is my favorite of the menu, but they sometimes have a vegan tomato soup which is AMAZING.

Fresh and tasty!

A vegan gem amongst all the meat-oriented stands at the Trenton Farmer's Market-Yaaaaay!!!

Pros: Very fresh food, tasty, satisfying portions, nice owners, nice sitting area

Cons: would like a "kiddie" meal option (like chik'n), would like soup-they told me its coming!

Vegan in Trenton at last!

I am thrilled that there is finally a vegan option in Trenton. I have eaten here twice and both times the food was fresh, tasty, and affordable. The women who run Lady and the Shallot are super friendly and accommodating. I look forward to eating there again soon.
