Blijft een prettig concept; kleine gerechten met hoofdrol voor planten. Maakt het makkelijk om met elk gezelschap hier verantwoord en vooral lekker te eten.

Almost everything is vegan, or can be ordered vegan. The majority of the food was really great, but some of it had little taste.
Read moreTheir plates only consists of vegetables, but it was a shame that you can order bacon, ham or fish with it. That kinda takes away the whole idea.
In conclusion it was a nice experience and we enjoyed our food.

Off the centre in a quite Neighborhood - Edit
Not many restaurants are offering vegan options in the evenings in leiden, so I gave this a try, portions are small but are tasty, too bad I did not see the colliflowers in the vegan menu for dinner. May be next time.

The food is amazing. Nice culinary dishes which really tickle your taste buds. The ambiance is very pleasant and the people are kind. They have a nice terrace. Within walking distance from the station.

The place is very cozy, staff is very friendly, menu has a lot of vegan options. 75% of the sauces/dips are vegan. Especially the cauliflower wings are a must try, they’re the yummiest 😋😋

Lab071 is een fijn plekje, vooral het terras. Het is erg fijn dat vlees optioneel kan worden bijbesteld. Bijna alles is vegan te krijgen. Het eten was smakelijk.
Read morePaar puntjes van kritiek: als je een recept vegan besteld ipv vegetarisch, wordt er soms gewoon wat weggelaten en wordt dit niet vervangen voor iets anders. Terwijl je wel hetzelfde bedrag betaalt.
Ook vind ik het vreemd dat je €0,50 extra moet betalen voor havermelk.

4.5 Heerlijk eten en erg betaalbaar voor wat je krijgt. De quinoa salade(bijgerecht) kan je bij de AH niet eens zo krijgen voor 4 euro. Veel vegan opties. Personeel vertelde ook uit zichzelf dat ze met plantaardig eten werken en als optie vlees aanbieden maar dat ze in de basis plantaardig zijn voordat wij iets vroegen.

Betalen voor plantaardige melk - Edit
Restaurant geeft aan duurzaamheid en plantaardig eten hoog in het vaandel te hebben. Zo is alles standaard vegetarisch, hebben ze veel vegan opties en kan er alleen op nadrukkelijk verzoek vlees worden gegeten.

Tasty but expensive - Edit
Food is very tasty, but the portions are quite small. We ordered one of the „all day“ snacks as a starter (cauliflower wings), which was quite a lot for 6€ (and very delicious I might say!) and a very wise choice, because the main course cost 12€ but was a very tiny portion, maybe even less than the cauliflower wings. So you should probably order 1 or 2 things from the all day menu and then a main course (or order a dessert in the end) or just a couple of things from the all day menu, if you don’t want to leave and still be hungry. And poor.

Tonight, we had dinner at Lab071. This was certainly not the first time and I don't know why I haven't written a review before. The food here is simply amazing. You can choose as many dishes as you want. Every dish has an extra option of meat or fish, but they are basically vegetarian or vegan. As a vegan, I obviously choose the latter option. Great food, great service and a great drinks menu. In addition, the menu changes every season, so that you have a completely new and tasty experience every time you visit. Highly recommended this restaurant!

Er zijn hier best wat opties/mogelijkheden. We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Gegaan voor het broodje smashed avocado en de gefermenteerde frietjes. Die laatste waren ook erg lekker.

I loved my vegan BLT sandwich - great flavours, especially the mushrooms (the 'B'). Overall a nice looking menu, decent coffee and a lovely view of the park. I do think that there are now more meat options on the lunch menu than there were last time I came, which is a shame. As a result of there being meat on the menu (not just as sides), and only vegan options being explicitly labelled, it is actually a bit unclear which non-vegan dishes are veggie.

Classy veggie burger, made extra-interesting with optional kimchi (do it!). The "egg wrap" was interesing too - noodles and mushrooms rolled up inside an omelette used as if it were a tortilla wrap. A very nice takeaway lunch.

I tried the Tosti with avocado and the vegan bean burger with fermented fries and had some very yummy cocktails with that. The fermented fries were absolutely amazing! They don't really taste fermented but just more like actual potato and just really yum. The bean burger had a few hard beans in it, which I liked a bit less but it tasted good. The tosti was also really yum!

The place itself has quite a hipster look but not too much so it fits a young crowd and has a great vibe. Staff was really friendly.
Main dishes are around 15-18€, which is a bit more pricey but totally worth it.
I can definitely recommend this place!

Nice place, celebrates vegetables and more vegan to come - Edit
Had a very good two meal course at Lab071. They are focussed on vegetables and you can add meat of fish as an extra to any dish. Most dishes are vegetarian, but the new menu (as of eind sept 2019) should be more vegan. The next menu card will also indicate vegan meals with a leaf.
