Vegan menu - Edit
Great to have a separate vegan menu. Choices weren’t anything special but what we had was lovely!
Read moreWe got the bruschetta, which was absolutely delightful. My boyfriend got the pistachio pesto pasta for main and I had the tomato zucchini and eggplant pasta. The pistachio pesto was a tiny portion I ended up giving him the rest of mine.
Service wasn’t the best either, took 25 minutes for our order to be taken even with an empty restaurant and the servers were across the street smoking while we ate.
Wouldn’t return

🍝 spaghetti totale - Edit
Very good selection with much more sauce offers as the standard tomato sauce. But honestly: no other really main course 😮💨

Delicious vegan meal - Edit
The food served at this restaurant is not particularly elaborate, but so delicious. It made me understand what « al dente » means for pasta. The best meal I had in 15 days in Sicily…

Ich hatte den Fenchel/ Orangensalat. Lecker, ansprechend und clean. Die Kichererbsensuppe war auch sehr gut.

Fabulous. Food is very nice. Whole vegan menu with so many options. If you’re vegan, do not miss a trip to this place. The staff were very friendly and we loved it. Potato salad was my favourite.

The best vegan place in Taormina! - Edit
We ate here when going on a day trip from Malta to Sicily. This was one of our favourite meals on holiday! I had the pistachio macaroni and my partner had the pesto spaghetti. The food was incredible however the man that served us was very miserable 💔

Really really good, must try - Edit
This is the best meal I’ve had so far in Sicily. I had the pistachio macaroni - great flavour unlike anything I’ve tried before and the pasta was cooked al dente, which I haven’t had at any other restaurant. Highly recommend.

Nice pasta - Edit
Probably the best restaurant with vegan options in Taormina. They have quite a few pasta and salad choices. The pasta we had was decent. They no longer have vegan gnocchi on the menu. UPDATE: the aubergine-courgette macaroni is heavenly! Must try!

Great option in a town with very few options - Edit
I visited this restaurant in September 2022, multiple times during our one week visit, as there are very few other vegan options in Taormina. But La Zagara has some amazing pasta options and a dreamy caponata. The pistachio pasta is to die for!

Seriously good pasta - Edit
We loved this place and came twice on our stay, every pasta dish we had was delicious. Unusual sauces on the vegan menu too, it seems a very thoughtful and considered vegan menu. The pistachio pesto and the Taormina sauce were particularly amazing! Would have happily worked my way through the menu if we had more time here! Meals I had elsewhere in Taormina I wish I had come here instead. Great service and presentation. Definitely recommend!

Good pasta - reasonably priced - Fully vegan menu with good local dishes - Edit
Probably our best restaurant experience on our trip to Taormina.
Read moreLow key place with outdoor seating - albeit at the side of a Main Street, but still relaxing.
Really nice and warm in October.
We went for lunch and it was really calm and quiet.
Affordable wine and food.
I think the total cost for meal with half litre wine, and water + Coperto was like €32 which is pretty decent.
Really nice macaroni alla norma!
Great spot for vegans. The Norma was decent as to be expected!
Pros: affordable , fully vegan menu , outdoor seating
Cons: next to a main road , not the best view

Very good pasta - Edit
I really enjoyed pasta with pistachio pesto. They have a separate vegan menu with many different options. In the menu there are Sicilian popular dishes. I also ordered, popular in the region, almond wine which was also really nice.

Perfect pesto pasta! - Edit
You know the feeling of eating good pasta? That was it for me! The food here was really simple but really well made, and that for me is a plus!! I has the pesto pasta with cherry tomatoes and was just perfect. The pistachio pasta os also suuuper nice as everyone says! Also, really not expensive for what we experienced in Sicily. Eat here!!

Lots of variety - Edit
We ate here on two occasions. I had the chickpea soup as a first dish and the pistachio pasta as a second. The chickpea soup was fine, chickpeas tasted a little bit straight out of the tin, which may not be to everybody's tastes. Wasn't so much a soup than a broth with chickpeas in it. I prefer this, but others may not expect this.
Read moreThe pistachio pasta, however, was very delicious. So much so I had it again on the second visit!
On the second visit, I had the Lentil soup as a first dish. Like the chickpea soup, this was lentils and vegetables in a broth rather than a soup. The flavours were good however it was a little bit gritty.
Overall mixed, but there were quite a few options so perhaps the soups were just the wrong ones for me. I would still say a definite visit for vegans in Taormina.
