So good.

Delicious and large range of vegetables, legumes and other salads, in a self serve buffet style. Super handy for tourists and priced on a very reasonable pay per weight ratio. Really fresh roasted and raw veggies, definitely going back super friendly staff!

Good space for families

In a vegetarian restaurant where you pay the weight on your plate. With a nice cidre on the side. The woman doesnt understand any English but is really trying and the bar has a lot of options. Perfect spot to visit with kids. In the back is a lot of space and books, toys etc. M

Pros: Enough options to choose

Cons: No signs When it is vegan or not, Staff is bad in english

Amazing buffet choices

Looked this up on HappyCow and it is open on a Monday evening. The restaurant is phenomenal because it also has various things for sale like sauces. The options available are huge from quiche to soups to various salads and veg. You pay on what you dish up so I was warned to be cautious of what I wanted and not overdo it and I am glad I read about this. The cheese options were phenomenal and the avocado and butternut were so delicious. So glad I found it!

Good & healthy, can become pricey

A nice vegetarian buffet with many choices, all good and healthy. The setting is nice, full of light and paintings (the restaurant is part of an art gallery). Be careful though about the price: you pay by the weight and if you are as hungry as I was on the day I came, the bill could exceed 30 €...

Pros: Buffet with good choice, Nice setting

Cons: Can become pricey

Filling and very healthy lunch

We got there by chance on our way to Champs de Mars but we never regretted. The buffet lunch looked extremely inviting and the owner asked the chef (Leandro, I think) to let us know which courses were vegan. There was a very large choice and because you pay by weight and we very quite greedy, it turned out a bit pricey but it was really good. The location and the "glass house" are pretty unusual, for what I could see it's more popular with locals than with tourists.

Pros: Very large choice (buffet)

Cons: It may get a bit expensive (pay by weight)

Great vegetarian buffet

This is the best vegetarian buffet I ever seen!
Great variety of fresh simple food - lots of different salads, mini-burgers, veggies, lentils patties, artichokes, sun-dry tomatoes, veg.chicken pasta, grilled eggplants etc.
My big plate cost me 17 euro plus 6 euro coffee and dessert , its a bit expensive. But in Paris an average bill for one person in a good vegetarian restaurant is 20-25 euro.
I will definitely return.

Pros: Big variety of fresh simple food

Cons: No name of the dish in the buffet

Okay food but challenging if you're vegan

About half of the items on the buffet were vegan, but none of them were marked, so we had to ask someone which things were which. The employee we asked didn't know and had to bring the chef out from the kitchen to point out the vegan items to us. After he left we had to try to remember what he had said. All of this was rather a hassle and made for a much less pleasant experience overall. I would give this place three stars rather than two if it were not for this.

The food was just okay. Some items were flavorful, but about half of things we had were very bland.

Only one dessert (out of maybe four) was vegan, and that was a little dish of applesauce.

It would be nice if they could use more vegan ingredients to make their offering more inclusive. For example, some items were not vegan because they contained mayonnaise (coleslaw, etc.), but vegan mayonnaise does of course exist, and I can't imagine that any difference in flavor would be noticeable. Baked goods can also easily be made vegan.

On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and the place is spacious and brightly lit.

Pros: friendly staff, spacious

Cons: vegan items not marked, would be nice to have more vegan options

Great choice

We were here for lunch. Great choice, we enjoyed the tasty food. So much to choose from the self service counter. Prices are measured by food weight. Kids friendly, plenty crayons available.

Fresh food, lovely staff

I ate at La Verrière with my grandparents and we had a great time. There was so much food to choose from and most of the dishes were vegan ! The organic wine was delicious and the staff were very friendly and spoke english. A full plate of food cost me 22 euros but everything was so fresh and tasty, especially the mushroom dip !

Pros: Lots of choice , Easygoing , Friendly staff

Cons: Not knowing how much you're going to pay

Good for a quick and healthy bite

Vegetarian, moderately priced cafe with a buffet. The staff was very friendly and quickly pointed out what the vegan options were upon inquiry. There were quite some vegan options, though they were not labeled. The food was healthy and tasty. Not appropriate for dining out but definitely a good place for a quick bite.

Pros: Healthy, Friendly staff

Cons: Vegan options are not labeled

Well located and friendly staff

I had lunch here yesterday and the location is very spacious and light, different from most places in Paris. The staff is super friendly, helpful and welcoming and the location (5 minutes from the Eiffeltower) is perfect. The food is a bit expensive if your mostly eating the cold buffet since its kind of simple (carrots rappees eg), but it's an advantage that it is a buffet so you can take whatever/the quantity you like. The soups were vegan and one of the deserts too. I recommend this place.

Pros: clean and spacious place, well located, friendly staff

Cons: bit expensive for what it is

Convenient, fast food

This is a great place to go for decent food that is fast and convenient. Service is friendly. The choices are limited but adequate. When we dined there, they were two main courses - a ratatouille, and a mac and cheese. both were fine. There were two soups, but vegan and very good. None of the desserts were vegan though. Our plate came to only 7 to 8 euros, plus 4.40 for a soup. Well worth a visit.

Pros: convenient and fast

Can be better!

Unfortunately, I have to confirm the review update of cyberlp23... It was my first time in this restaurant but I didn't find the food has an amazing taste. It was not bad but very usual, as we can do at home, at least. And for 14 euros a plate, it is expensive now, especially for a vegan. You will have some vegan options, mainly in the cold buffet and at least one hot dish, but for dessert originality is limited.
Otherwise, the staff and place is friendly and location great since there is no other veggie place around. Try it for lunch but do not expect amazing food.

Pros: healthy food, various dishes, location, friendly staff

Cons: lack of flavour, few vegan desserts, expensive (especially for vegans)

Excellent veggie self-service, but...

La Verriere is a freshly opened, self-service like vegetarian restaurant.

It's a one of a kind in Paris, where most veggie options turn out to be either simili-burger joints, posh bistros or cold macrobiotic places. The space is big, white and full of light -- quite unusual for the French capital. It's part of a health center & art gallery.

The food in itself is great: an amazing buffet and a variety of dishes and salads, all of this fresh and tasty, including homemade pies and bread. Maybe it lacked some gluten-free choices, as well as more beans & legumes.

The prices are amazingly low for Paris, and particularly this part of the city: 10€ for the buffet (it´s not an all you can eat buffet, but you can fill up your plate as much as you want), single dishes around 7-8€, 25cl of red wine for 3,5€.

Finally, the staff is warm and helpful, and the place run by real passionate lovers of food & cooking (not some stern nutritionists).

EDIT: the price have gone up. Last time, the buffet was 12€ instead of 10€, which was a little disappointing. Quality hasn't changed though, and is still very good.

NEW EDIT: the price has gone up again, 14€, and unfortunatey the quality has gone down... The legumes options are still scarce, and the salad buffet & desserts didn't look very inspiring any more. Also, two times I came at a normal time (around 13pm, there was no more soup, and a third of the "tartes/quiches" missing).
Maybe something changed in the cuisine/management? I'll come back yet again to double check this trend, but it doesn't look good.

friendly and yummy

Great little cafe with an alfresco feel even tho it's inside.

Not heaps of vegan options but the soup was delicious and so was the little apple tart!

Staff very friendly and helpful with good English. Stop by here if you've been to the Tombeau de Napoleon and the Musée de L'Armée!

good for fast food

I went there two days before, seems to be the only vegan space in this district. A small, bright self-service-Bistro, everything is for "to go" too.The staff is friendly and explained the procedure also in english. you can fill an assiette for 12€ as full as you want;I liked to try the tarte (onions and goat cheese - very yummy!, there was also a vegan Option)too and wasn`t much hungry after that, so it was a bit pricy in summary. The salades were good and fresh made, and there were various kinds of homemade Desserts I didn`t try, but they looked good. The only sad Thing:there are no plates nor cutlery but paper and Plastics, also if you stay and eat there - I hate to always leave lots of waste, it seems unnessesary.

Pros: yummy tartes, friendly staff

Cons: plasticplates and cutlery, not at all cozy

Nice choice of vegetarian food

Relaxing and calm atmosphere in this restaurant (although in a rather busy district) with very friendly service. It's quite near to the Champs de Mars and Eiffel tower, where it's rather hard to find a good choice of fresh vegetarian food. I loved the delicious vegan pate and vegan tarts with their crusty pastry. They have got several new dishes everyday. Very stable wifi.

Pros: Excellent fresh food, Nice choice for vegans, Peaceful vibe

Cons: not 24h/24h
