The Taqueria Las Isabelas Mexican restaurant in Hickory. The tacos were our favorite, OMG!!! We can’t wait to be back! The lemonade and pineapple fresh juice were delish.

I created an account just so I could leave a review about how good this place was. It is certainly not fancy by any means, you get there by going through the little store, but what it lacks in fancy it more than makes up for in good food. We had chips and guacamole, Veganos Tacos al Pastor, Tortes al Pastor, and rice and beans. They were phenomenal. The lady at the ordering counter was super nice and very helpful. She could tell it was our first time there. She verified we were vegan as soon as we started our order and ordered off the vegan menu. Then made sure we didn’t want cheese with “you’re vegan so no cheese, right?” And just little things along the way to make sure we got what we wanted and nothing we didn’t. When our food came out, there was just so much on the plate. Neither of us could eat it all and my leftovers were amazing this morning for breakfast. If you’re here and in the mood for Mexican, go here. You will not be disappointed.

Food allergies prevent me from trying their impossible based newer vegan tacos and quesadillas, but I would happily go here just to sit and eat their guacamole and fresh chips any day of the week. SO good.

The experience is different overall but the quesadilla was awesome. Next time I’m gonna add avocado to it.

Great Vegan Options - Edit
I ordered an Impossible meat and vegan cheese quesadilla and got a monster meal. The quesadilla was over an inch thick, packed full of Impossible and vegan cheese.
Read moreMy boyfriend got the vegan fajitas which came with Impossible, peppers, onions, baby corn, water chestnuts, and carrots (very varied). His came with a side of beans and a side of rice and he said they were the best fajitas he had ever had.
Their chips in their chips and salsa are also housemade out of flour tortillas, so they are delicious.
Pros: Impossible Meat, Vegan Cheese, Great Portion Sizes
