La verdad, no comprendo cómo mi experiencia puede ser tan dispar a la de los otros usuarios que veo en las reseñas.
Read moreAl llegar, me pedí una pomelada, la cual vino con pajitas de metal. Me encantó la idea –disminuir el uso de plásticos de un sólo uso, reutilizar, combatir el consumo compulsivo e innecesario– pero en la práctica éstas estaban sucias, llenas de sarro y restos de pulpa de fruta.
La comida no era rica, para nada. Yo me pedí unos falafels con hummus y ninguno me gustó. Los falafels no tenían ajo, y estaban duros. El hummus tampoco tenía ajo, ni limón, y contenía tanto aceite que resultaba difícil comerlo.
Tampoco quedé muy satisfecho con el personal. Hice un par de preguntas y todas fueron contestadas incoherentemente.
Espero que sólo haya sido un mal día y que esta reseña no refleje la calidad habitual del comercio.

Good vegan chivito, bad coffee and fries - Edit
The vegan chivito was really good, but the fries were not really salted and no salt available on the table. On top: a lot of them were already cold, some not fully cooked. The cafe was not good at all. Friendly stuff though. We wouldn't come back.

In Uruguay there is a law that forbids restaurants to place salt in the tables to protect people with high blood pressure. If you ask for some, they will give it to you😄For the same reason, some foods come unsalted

Thanks for that explanation. It seems to me a bit of an overreaction to leave out salt completely. But as I‘m not familiar with Uruguayan health issues I will just remember and deal with it according to your instructions when I will visit Uruguay the next time. 😉😅

Cute place, very yummy food. All options (only 4, the menu for lunch rotates every day) were vegan. The potato fries are particularly delicious and the main I got was really filling, good portion size. Staff is all really friendly as well. I loved the art on the walls as well. Might go back tomorrow while I’m visiting mvd:)
Read moreEdit: went back and had one of the local sandwiches with seitan. The seitan is all house made and really made well, very delicious and a good texture. The dessert I tried was excellent too! 😍 plus everything can be made vegan which is just great to find a place like this!

Tienen varias opciones veganas y son ricas, aunque a veces les falta un poco de sabor. Los precios son acordes a las porciones. Lo más rico y que siempre recomiendo es el brownie, uno de los mejores que he probado!

Amazing pizza and good fast-food! - Edit
I've been there multiple times as its one of the firsts veg restaurants in the city, they've lately included way more vegan options into their menu. My favorite is the pizza, but they've many good options such as the burger and the risotto, also appetizers like the vegan mozzarella sticks and the nuggets are super good too. Shakes are available and desserts are great, love their peanut butter cookie + ice cream dessert.

I had a polenta and a seitan milanesa, which was good, but a tad bit overcooked. The staff was very friendly and willing to make adaptations to the dish. The food is not cheap, but Montevideo is not a cheap city...

The menu has interesting and diverse options, whoever wrote it out a lot of love into it. It wasn't a big menu, but it covered all the bases. It does vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, for starters, mains, deserts and drinks. Really impressed with the quality of the food, I got the milanesa and fresh lemonade. There were local craft beers available. The decor was nice and there was a good vibe. I'll definitely be returning.

La Temeraria offers an appealing mix of Uruguayan comfort food and healthier fare: how about a vegan milanesa or chivito with a salad and a smoothie? The food was tasty, service was warm, and there’s a pleasant alt-art atmosphere (as promised by the sign out front: “Rock & Food”). Enjoy!

Best vegan place in MVD - Edit
I really really enjoyed La Temeraria! They serve Vegan and/or veggie versions of typical Uruguayan food such as Milanese or chivitos. The food is a bit expensive (about 250-300 pesos) but ABSOLUTELY worth it! I can really recommend the Vegan chivito they make.
