Amazing vegan Italian options at LGBTQ+ friendly restaurant! - Edit
I’m still sat here in the restaurant and had to come to this app to make sure I didn’t forget to write this review. What a fantastic experience!! It’s a cozy little place with lots of character, lovely staff, authentic Italian fizzy drinks (try the Sicilian lemonade!) and heaps of amazing vegan Italian options. Not to mention big portions!
Read moreWe ordered the bruschetta with red pesto, garlic and broccoli and it was to die for. So much flavour. We also had the arancine siciliane funghi e besciamella and it was enormous (and tasty).
For mains we got the vegan lasagne and the gnocchi. My partner fell in love with the lasagne - we haven’t had a vegan lasagne at a restaurant in over 4 years and this one did not disappoint! The gnocchi was great, but I (blasphemously) added salt and pepper and it was *amazing*. Had a side of veg too, very flavourful and went great with the gnocchi!
We got both apricot and strawberry crotatas at the end, but we were too full and had to take them to go! They’re probably good too though.
Overall; if you’re within a 45 minute drive of this place, would fully recommend coming. Not to mention there’s a car park across the road that’s open 24/7 which is totally free - there’s a sign at the car park’s entrance encouraging you to tell your friends about it 😂
We will very likely be coming back :)
EDIT: we caved in and had a bite of the crotata before we left. And there was no going back, we finished the whole thing 😂 It was like a vanilla flavoured pie crust with amazing fruit jam and ugh. Brilliance. Make sure to get a crotata, it’s worth it even if you can’t breathe afterward

Exceptional Italian Food - Edit
Julia is a fabulous chef, using traditional recipes, with plenty of vegan choice, and the food is sensational. We drove 30 minutes from our accommodation to go and would travel the 4.5 hours from home to go again!!

A brilliant addition to Littleport/Ely! - Edit
I've been here to eat in and also had takeaway food from La Strega. Both were excellent, there's a huge range of vegan options like lasagne and aubergine parmigiana that you don't get in omni restaurants. Delicious pasta and a very cute restaurant.
Read moreThey also do takeaway coffee and cake and an express lunch option. Highly recommend.
