Interesting but tasty Tofu Poutine! - Edit
There were several options on the menu- I had a poutine with a falafel patty, fried tofu and veggies with gravy on fries, friends had a falafel burger (removed the feta to make it vegan), another had a green salad with a falafel burger on top

It was so cute here and I really wanted to like it! But the server was extremely rude (my mom’s wine had turned and she NEVER sends stuff back but I told her she should if she can’t even drink it. The server almost made her cry and embarrassed her over something so small.) and the food was not good, none of us enjoyed it. I had the vegan poutine and I’d say if you’re looking for poutine you’re better off at Poutine Ville ❤️

Good poutine, no cheese - Edit
We decided to come here because the reviews on Happy Cow showed good vegan options and a vegan poutine with vegan cheese. When we went however, the vegan poutine had no vegan cheese. There was only one other item on the menu marked "vegan", the onion rings, and they came with a honey dip. That was disappointing.

Les faux fromages véganes habituellement viennent râpés et fondent dans la sauce. Pas à la souche! Ils ont leur propre fromage à poutine maison fait avec des gros morceaux de tofu marinés qui rendent bien l'expérience d'une bonne poutine qui fait squick-squick.

Best poutine cheese curds around - Edit
I just want to mention that their poutine right now has the best vegan cheese curds I've tasted yet. Vegan cheese curds seem hard to do right, the texture is usually way off, and they miss that slight bitterness you'd find in good dairy cheese curds. But here, La Souche outdid themselves with their homemade, tofu based curds. If you miss good poutines as a vegan, or just want to try an excellent one, you have to give this one a shot.

Même si les options véganes sont limitées, celles offertes sont excellentes. J'ai pris le burger seitan avec poutine végane en accompagnement (qui était très grosse d'ailleurs!) et c'était délicieux. Plusieurs choix de bières (et un cidre) qui sauront satisfaire tous les goûts, même pour les personnes comme moi qui n'aiment pas trop la bière. J'ai aimé qu'il y aille une boutique juste à côté où on peut acheter leurs bières en canettes.

Excellent choix de plats véganes et de bières - Edit
Nous avons mangé le BLT (qui était plus qu’excellent) et la poutine végétalienne au tempeh. C’est de l’excellent comfort food et que dire de leur choix de bières.....!!!

Amazing food & beer, friendly service, and varied menu! My partner & I are vegan, and it was refreshing to be able to enjoy a meal, that was vegan, in an environment that hosts all types of diets. We have the vegan pizza, poutine and hummus, plus two flights of beer. The ambiance was lovely even on a Monday evening!
