Surprising great! - Edit
Stopped in to beat the rain. After struggling to find a good vegan meal for 2-3 days this hit the spot! The waitress was amazing and the vegan plate had assorted vegetables and a vegan patty which was very tasty!

We had the assiette végétale and the Burger végétale without cheese. The plate (assiette) was pretty good, all vegan, just a little bit more salt or other spieces could have been great. I was disappointed about the burger. It came with a bit of !cheese! , otherwise delicious, I really liked the burger pattie. The fries were not salted and really oily. We waited such a long time to order our food and the stuff seemed really unmotivated.

As other reviewers said: this is pretty much the only restaurant in Etretat in which you can have something vegan - the only option: assiette veggie.
Read moreIt was a big plate with salad, some mushy tasteless veggies and a veggie burger. It was not bad per se, but pretty expensive for what you get. We also ordered a side of potatoes and that was good.
Staff was helpful, fast and friendly but I went on a off-season rainy day, so not their busiest moment. Located in a pretty nice building.

Expensive and not the best service - Edit
There were 5 or 6 vegetarian dishes on the menue, but no vegan ones. Maybe they changed the menue or some things could made be vegan, but nothing vegan on the menue. Also, one of the vegetarian dishes wasn't vegetarian because it contained parmesan with animal rennet.
Read moreI had a plate with vegetables and a vegetarian pattie. The food was good but priecy. The service wasn't really good. They were really friendly but they took a looong time to take our orders although it wasn't really crowded. Also one of the dishes we ordered was ouz of stock. This wouldn't be a problem but they told us after we wated 45 minutes for our food and then had to order new and wait again for the food. Sadly there aren't many vegetarian/vegan food options in this area but can't really recommend it.

In this area where there is NOTHING for vegan people, the brasserie La Salamandre offers one vegan dish called "assiette veggie" with vegetables and tempeh, 17.90€, and several vegetarian dishes (cheeseburgers and cheese based dishes). You can ask for a vegan dessert : fruit salad and they will prepare it for you.

Dans cette région où il n'y a RIEN pour les vegan, la brasserie la salamandre propose un plat vegan ("assiette veggie" aux légumes et Tempeh 17.90€) et quelques plats végétariens (burger, plats au fromage).
Ils ont aussi des frites, de la salade et des pommes de terre sautées à 4.50€. En dessert on peut demander une salade de fruits pour les vegan même si elle n'est pas marquée sur la carte.
Les produits sont issus de l'agriculture biologique.
Pain bio ou biscottes sans gluten.
Le personnel est très gentil et attentionné. Service : 5/5 !
Musique jazz blues et chiens acceptés.

La salamandre est un restaurant situé dans etretat dans une bâtisse extraordinaire datant du 14e siècle. Tout y est charmant, de la gérante aux petits soins, jusqu'aux assiettes généreusement servies. Merci beaucoup ❤️

A comida estava boa (não as fritas), mas MUITO desproporcional em termos de custo x benefício. Um pequeno potinho com salada de alface, 4-5€ !

E não havia nada de opções veggie nas fórmules de dejeuner.
Nos arriscamos por ser o único restaurante indicado aqui no site na localidade, não recomendo.

Au vu des autres commentaires ici et du prix, j'en attendais plus.
Read more17€ et quelques pour de la salade, des tomates crues, pdt à l'eau et un steak vg industriel. Sans sauce ou assaisonnement... j'ai demandé des frites en plus (donc 4,50€ en plus) et j'avais encore faim en partant. C'est la seule option vegane et elle n'est pas du tout satisfaisante. Dommage, c'est apparemment tout ce qu'on peut trouver comme repas vegan un soir d'août à Etretat.
Le personnel est très agréable.

2018/07 : cook is different, now you have tempeh with simple vegetables. See 2018 photo.
Pros: a dish with a wide variety of different items, Big plate (update 07/2018 smaller dishes), bio vegetables, good taste !
Cons: in 2016 dishes were wonderful. 2018, not so good !
