Very good vegan burgers and fries - Edit
Update: Sadly, they stopped making the mini burgers. I loved them, they were perfect. They still make the full sized burgers and chicken sandwiches. This place and Oiga are the same place. I’m not sure why they do it this way, but the food is great, so I really don’t care. lol.
Read moreI ordered from here a couple of times for delivery. The menu is a bit limited, but what they do is very good. The second time I ordered, my eye caught the fact that you can order a pack of 10 vegan bacon cheese sliders. I decided to go with that instead of the large burgers. These were a huge hit. Everyone, meat eater and vegan, loved these.
I just placed another delivery order here today for sliders and nuggets. My non vegan in-laws chowed it all down like a pack of hungry wolves. lol.

Best burger of my life! - Edit
This is the best vegan burger I’ve had so far! I ordered a menu which included a cheese bacon burger, French fries and 3 sauces (plus a drink). The service was super fast.

We ordered delivery on the first evening in Lima through whatsapp and the staff were so accommodating. They made it super easy for us to order and pay and the food was exactly what we needed after a looong flight. It was awesome that it was open late.

Would definitely have again if wanting a takeout type meal and recommend for anyone looking for a fast food type fully Vegan restaurant 👍👍🙏😁

Exceptional Skewers and Sauces - Edit
Found in a food court setting, La ReContra and Oiga is a two-shops-in-one plant-based food stall. The skewers were amazing with a real char taste. The sauces exceptional. The quesadilla one of the best vegan quesadillas i’ve had.

This restaurant is not as it used to be. The burgers no longer come with fries, and nowhere does it say that they don't come with fries. To add them there is an additional cost of 10 soles, for frozen fries. The sauces, which used to come with the burger, now charge you 2 soles for tiny pots with a little sauce. The burgers are now tiny and the quality leaves a lot to be desired, not to mention the extreme increase in prices (more than 10 soles). I used to consume a lot in this restaurant, it was one of my favorites, but now seeing the contempt for its customers and its desire for profit at the expense of the quality of its ingredients, I'm afraid I won't order again and I will advise against it to anyone who mentions this restaurant. A real disappointment, I remember when they used to send the burgers in a beautiful box, and now they send them only in platinum paper. Very very disappointing.

yummy crispy burger! - Edit
We got our food through delivery and there were fries, nuggets and 4 mini burgers. The fries were alright (probably better in person for obvious reasons) and I really enjoyed the nuggets and the crispy burger - gorgeous. Would order it again, just the bigger version. The one with bacon and cheese (I think) was just alright and edible but nothing more than that.

Ordenamos un mini x4 combo y la hamburguesas crispy estaban riquísimas. No me gustó tanto la de tocino y queso y la papas no estaban bien cocidas o tal ves se enfriaron al llegar por Rappi, pero me gustó las salsas y la hamburguesa “La Crispy” y si lo recomiendo. 🍔

El lugar queda en un establecimiento de contenedores, por tanto no vas a ver su nombre desde afuera, el lugar se llama Muncher. Entras y a mano izquierda encuentras el local. Pedimos dos hamburguesas La Crispy, se pueden elegir dos salsas para cada hamburguesa y vienen acompañadas de una buena porción de papas a la francesa. La hamburguesa nos encantó, la imitación al pollo era muy rica y crujiente, y de buen tamaño. Las salsas también estaban muy ricas. De tomar pedí un Recontra Shake de Oreo, era como una malteada, no estaba muy dulce, estaba en el punto. El pedido no tardó en ser entregado y en el lugar hay una zona común con mesas para sentarse y baños.

Great chicken and sauces but dry burgers - Edit
Unfortunately the burger patties themselves weren't great. Nothing like an impossible or beyond burger so it was a little dry. The nuggets and onion rings were yummy and the sauces, especially the Smoky one. A tad expensive but overall nice.

Read moreThis is not a restaurant but a food-truck style courtyard with several order-at-the-counter, take-out food businesses that have shared picnic tables and chairs in a central courtyard. There are a couple of other businesses, so it is a good spot for large groups with disparate interests (although I think La Recontra is the only one to have vegan offerings).
We ordered two burgers with onion rings; the Oklahoma and the bacon cheeseburger. Both my dad (not vegan) and I agreed we would order ours again. Dad said the bacon wasn't crispy, but tasted great. And my Oklahoma with cheese and sauteed onions was delicious. It was super heavy; the two patties were too much for me and it was actually hard to finish (and I was hungry!). But I would still recommend it--every bite was great. I know that this place makes good food.
The only think that was a bust was the milkshake, which was so liquid it was almost just sweet milk.
The people there were awesome. Gustavo was super friendly and helpful; he guided us through the menu with instagram pics. Looking forward to going back!

Bomb Vegan Fast Food - Edit
Ok, so it’s vegan fast food. But sometimes that’s what you crave and La ReContra hits all the right spots. In a cool yellow container complex with courtyard seating and other food joints to satisfy everyone’s tastes. Had their “Speciality Burger of the Week” which was basically a crispy chkn burger with guacamole and “bacon” bits on a soft croissant. It was money! Comes with thicker, salty fries and two sauces of your choice (the picante was drinkable). Good for what it’s good for. Easier to find with Google Maps (Apple Maps took me two blocks away)

The cheese bacon burger is seriously one of the best, if not THE best vegan burger I've tasted. La crispy (chicken sandwich) was also nice, as was the shake estilo Oreo with lots of vegan whipped cream on top 😃
