Good food here - Edit
I thought the food was pretty good here. I went for lunch three times in August 2024 (currently the meal of the day costs 18,000 pesos). My first meal came with a bowl of tomato soup, a juice drink, a small dessert, and the main plate that came with rice, potatoes, garbanzo patties, and a mixed lettuce and broccoli salad. The flavors were good. They had both rice and potatoes on the same plate so the meal was a bit carb-heavy.
Read moreTo avoid waiting, I recommend that you arrive at noon or at 1:00 p.m. I arrived at 10 minutes past noon and all the tables were taken. Around 1:00 some of the tables opened up. On Sunday there were tables available until about 1:00 p.m. and then they all filled up shortly thereafter. They have about 6 tables and 5 barstools. They serve a meal of the day from noon to 3:00 and fast food from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.. The owner told me that on Sunday they only have a meal of the day.

Wow, the menu del día here was fantastic! The food was well seasoned and very flavourful. Fully vegan and organic. 18000 COP.

Best vegan restaurant in Manizales! - Edit
The food at this place was incredibly delicious. I had the best soup of my whole Colombia trip there. The atmosphere was familiar and the waiter was super friendly, even offering me to accompany me to the next bus station. It's rare for me on ymy travels to find a place that offers healthy and vegan food served by open minded people but this place checked all of my boxes. 100% recommended. I'll definitely return to La Oveja Orisca if I come back to Manizales!

Owned by a wonderful, rebel family, this place is beautiful and makes really yummy, affordable food. Not to mention the family hosts couchsurfers! We had the lunch special and everything was delicious. We loved their vibe and really wanted to try more of their food, but they were closed during the Holy Week and we weren’t staying much longer. If you’re in town, you should definitely check this place out.

Beyond "just-a-meal" experience - Edit
This newly open restaurant is beyond "just-a-meal" experience. Owned by a local family living in harmony with nature who will not only serve you the very tasty dish but talk to you about the philosophy of the place and everything else which will make you enjoy being around. We had vegan hamburgers with potatoes which were absolutely delicious and enjoyed the terrace view of the city and the garden behind us which was amazing and made it really special. Definitely coming back and 100% recommending!
