Great find - thanks HappyCow! - Edit
Lots of bars and restaurants in San Jose but, as usual in Spain (apart from the cities) the vegan and veggie choice is limited. Saw this place on HappyCow and although we ended up in the wrong place initially, we were pleasantly surprised when we did arrive at Mandragora. The place has a cooler vibe than most of the town's restaurants and friendly staff. We had the vegan burger which was great. We may be going back later in the week for the vegan pizza... There could have been a few more chips with the burger - but apart from that - well worth a visit (or two).

Some great vegan and vegetarian options in the menu. The separate vegetarian menu on the blackboard outside if you don’t want to look through the menu to work out what is and isn’t veggie, is so very handy. Nice choice of beers. Great staff, especially the young woman who always wears odd-socks. As with many local places, you get a free tapas with your beer, so mention your preferences when you order or you might get whatever is going.

Finding any vegan options in this fish-laden side of Spain is not easy, so this location made me very happy. There's a bunch of vegan options (the veggie burger is especially great) and plenty of good beers to choose from as well. Staff is super friendly.

Propose du végétarien et non végétarien. La cuisine est excellente, les artichauts et les croquettes sont parfaites. Tapas offert à chaque verre commandé, serveurs très sympas. A ne pas manquer si vous êtes dans le coin !

they have several vegetarian and vegan dishes, we ordered the beetroot and cheese croquetas and they are from another world. we also had the vegetarian hamburguer and it’s stunning. the french fries as the side are very unique.
