Best Vegan Italian in Phoenix! - Edit
I thoroughly enjoyed their vegan menu. I ordered the garlic bread, strawberry salad, garlic sauce pasta, and ended the meal with the BEST vegan cheesecake I’ve ever had! I’m am looking forward to dining at La Lozada again!

My glass of wine was good. However, when my vegan garlic bread came out, there seemed to be a fuss in the kitchen about what should be on it… did the kitchen not know what it was supposed to be? When I finally got my order, it was just toasted bread with some Olive oil on it. So underwhelming. It came with no garlic and no vegan Parmesan, which was featured elsewhere on the menu. Not worth trying. When it comes to the primavera pasta, it was well cooked but a little watery. The chicken substitute they used seemed stale and poorly integrated into the dish. Not bad but didn’t impress me. I’d say, find somewhere else for dinner. maybe a restaurant that understands its own vegan menu and knows how to make its customers feel like they are eating good quality, thoughtful food that is worth the price.

Loved the fact that they have a separate menu with vegan options that are delicious! Enjoyed the linguini primavera and bruschetta as a meal. Dessert offering was cheesecake or sorbet.

Good service but not the best food for what it was rated. I saw on happy cow that it was rated 3 dollar signs for price rating but the food was not worth what the price rating was both vegan and non vegan (had non-vegan friends along). I’m from Boise we have much better restaurants with vegan options that would probably be rated 1 or 2 “$” for the same quality dishes. But the service and drinks were very nice. Need to step up their game on dishes.

We ordered the penne and sausage. It was underwhelming. There was nothing wrong with it, just wasn’t anything to write home about. I read reviews on the garlic bread and thought we’d get some of that too....meh. It was just a little bland not very flavorful and felt like we could have made the same thing at home just the same. Again it wasnt bad just wasn’t all that great. I do appreciate places that have vegan options so I shouldn’t be complaining.

The vegan garlic bread is delicious, be sure to add a side of the homemade marinara for dipping. I ordered the Power salad with roasted beets, Tuscan kale, quinoa, avocado, toasted almonds, dried apricots and citrus vinaigrette followed by the penne arrabbiata with spicy beyond sausage. Yum! Best vegan pasta dish I’ve had at a restaurant this far. For desert, the vegan cheesecake with strawberry sauce. Organic certified vegan bottles of Vietti Nebbiolo and Barolo at this location. Organic vegan Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio bottles as well. Definitely worth visiting in Old Town Scottsdale.
