Very accommodating for vegan options!

This is a restaurant at a hostel. I stayed at Free Cerveza hostel however ate all meals at La Iguana. Many vegan options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. While here I ate:
- breakfasts: oatmeal with banana and raisins; pesto tofu on toast with avocado instead of cheese (no extra charge). Powdered soy milk for coffee is offered at a small extra cost.
- lunch: options to make your own sandwich with tofu as one of the options!; smoothie bowl
- dinner: family-style/buffet: fully accommodating to vegans. When you add yourself to the list for the buffet, the staff notes your dietary restrictions. One night was a beet burger in place of bbq meat, with pasta salad, spinach salad, roasted potatoes. The next night was tacos (vegan coleslaw, beans, avocado dressing, ceviche) Dessert is offered both nights and if not naturally vegan, they offer an alternative (ie bowl of fruit). They also have vegan banana ice cream on the regular menu!

Pros: Many vegan options on the menu, Tofu! Sometimes hard to find high protein options , Reasonably priced

Cons: Only powdered soy milk

Filling dinner

During their buffet style communal dinner, they had a vegetarian and meat option and gave me a special plate with my vegan dish (curry on this specific night), the banana bread for dessert was also vegan. It's nice, that they care about their guests, have a variety of options and know what vegan means. The dish was filling, the taste good aswell.

Pros: Vegan options, Communal dinner

Cons: Not all vegan

Fun hostel-type eatery

Went here for their 'all you can eat' dinners which are on every night, from what I understand. The night I was there it falafel and salads. Simple but filling and plenty of it. They have a wider menu during the day, which has a number of vegan and veggie items. I don't think you'll come away feeling you've had the best meal of your life but the atmosphere was great and it offered a nice opportunity to meet other travellers.

The night I was there they also had an open-mic night, which was fun and added to the overall experience.

Pros: Plenty of food, Fun atmosphere, Cheap

Awesome Atmosphere, Good Food

The view & environment is amazing. The food was good but staff and hostel guests made it memorable. Nice to meet the owners. The open kitchen feels like you're in a home but the area could use window screens. Lots of flies. Cool to walk through & great place to hang out.

Pros: Beautiful Environment, Good Prices

Cons: Flies And Bees
