Not much for vegan breakfast

Did not have a vegan breakfast option, they did come up with something when I asked though (fruit granola and yogurt). I was going to come for lunch while in Fisterra as well but don’t feel confident I’ll get a full meal.

Pros: Good location

Cons: Serves meat (happy cow reports vegetarian)

Lugar curioso

Pros: Muchas opciones veganas y vegetarianas

Cons: El trato depende mucho de quién te atiende

Nice bar with good vegan options.

Had breakfast there twice and it was really good. First time I had a muesli with fruit and soy milk, next day fruit with curd.
Plus coffee and fresh orange juice.
Good prices.

Service was very friendly but it can take a while.
Place is very close to the bus station and buses are leaving at 9:45 or 10:00. Many people come between 8:30 and 9:30.

Pros: vegan options, vegetarian options, friendly service

Cons: none

Atmosphère sympa

Atmosphère sympa.
Service un peu long.. Lait soja aux épices avec peu de goût dommage. Peut être un mauvais choix.

Pros: L'atmosphère, Goashop

Cons: Un peu cher, propositions végan, végé basics

Good food, nice atmosphere

After a long day of walking I had the daily special which was a vegan empanada, something I haven’t yet seen in Spain. It was good enough for me to order another one once I finished.

As we were eating, a dog was walking in and out of the restaurant with an enormous tumor on his flank. I assumed it was a street dog and called an association that helps animals on the Camino, and they told me to call the emergency services. Before I did that, I asked the owner if she knew anything about the dog and she was very defensive, telling me that it was her dog and asking why I cared. She claimed the dog has seen the vet 5 times and whether or not that’s true, it was shocking to see such a massive tumor on this dog and it was clearly affecting his ability to walk. Maybe she gets asked this a lot and she’s tired to explaining it, but I was surprised at her reaction since I was asking out of genuine concern.

Pros: Lots of variety , Nicely decorated restaurant

Nice lunch but really long wait

I had the rice with curry and vegetables, nothing to say about that. It was a very nice lunch, but I have to wait 40 mins for my food. Maybe it’s just me been unlucky that day😡

Dissatisfaction

Had the burgers with chips and salad. Burgers come without a bun, only patties without flavor consisting mainly of oatmeal. Fries ok, not good, salad next to nothing with two slices of tomato. For the price of 8,90 just disappointing.

Pros: Six vegan options

Cons: Pricey, not worth it, flavorless

Many vegan options!

It’s great to see a menu with vegan options clearly marked after several days on the Camino subsisting mainly on nuts, bananas, and potatoes. Lentil stew was hearty on a rainy day, as was the soy hot chocolate.

Best food in Finisterre, Spain

Most delicious nutritious vegan & vegetarian food in Finisterre! A welcome surprise after a long journey walking 900km Camino de Santiago where such wholesome veg food was difficult to find. Highly recommend this cafe/restaurant.

Pros: vege, whole food
