BEST AUTHENTIC VEGAN MEXICAN FOOD in Chicago - Edit
Recently moved to Chicago and have found this treasure of a place. Food is fresh, amazing, BIG portions, and the staff is amazing. Mrs Rosa & the waitress, I think her name was Alexandra. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and highly recommend.

Love the vegan options here. If you want no frills, vegan Mexican food come here. I got the huarache with vegan "meat" which turned out to be vegan carne asada. It was AMAZING. The texture and taste was so close to the real thing and the meal was very filling for the price. Wish I could give 5 stars!

The vegan tacos de al pastor and asada are amazing, tortillas are hand made. We tried the pozole and torta de vegan asada which is also delicious. Can’t wait to try more items.

Ask for Vegan menu! The Huaraches was our absolute favorite!!! But it was all delicious, even coming with fantastic vegan meats, cheezes, and sour cream! The vegan steak meat was great in the burrito. Some dishes have a bit of heat, like the combinacion esparanza.

I came because of the recommendation of their vegan pozole (only served on the weekends) but they have a separate vegan menu (what?!) - something unexpected in this cute, authentic Mexican restaurant. Ordered the mole enchiladas, which were amazing - definitely a new go-to.

I love coming to La Esperanza! Last time I was here, I got the enchiladas verdes with vegan meat and they were amazing. I fell in love once again. I recommend this place with all my heart.
