Excellent Vegan meal - Edit
The green gazpacho was good and the risotto very good. One option in each course but throughly enjoyed the meal. My non vegan husband enjoyed foie gras and organic steak.

Probably the best vegan 3-course dinner I've had in France, and I'm living in Paris since few months. Starter gazpacho was delicious, main mushroom risotto very tasty and sweetsweet dessert! Only cons I'd say are that the risotto was served way too hot and I had to wait for it to cool down (in a 36 degree heat) and the dessert was super sweet and I managed to eat only half of it. Absolutely recommend! Also recommend to reserve a table even on the same day.

Delicious Dinner for two - Edit
We had a wonderful evening enjoying the three-course-vegan-menu that was clearly labeled and tasted so good. We did not make a reservation in advance so there was no table left outside but they offered us a pretty table inside. The staff was very professional, super friendly and spoke English well. It was the perfect place for an exalted dinner for two. Thank you!!

Vegan and veggie Menu! - Edit
We had the vegatarien and vegan menu. Everything was very delicious and the waiter was such a sweet person and tried his best to help us out by communicating with hands and feets. The restaurant is a bit more elegant with amazing service and food. So the perfect place for a romantic vegan/veggie dinner where you also spend some money.

High quality hotel/restaurant that does some vegan options. The options are limited but beautifully cooked. Menu has helpful colour coding for vegan and vegetarian. There’s at least one vegan and one vegetarian option for each course. I only had a main which was vegan mushroom risotto served with fresh bread, it was very good.

Nice vegan options in a very pleasant place - Edit
La Couleuvrine offers a complete vegan menu clearly marked: a starter, a main course and a dessert. We went there for lunch and had a pumpkin soup (very fresh and good), a falafel dish with an excellent vegan spicy cream and a pumpkin dessert (well presented). The whole experience was very good, the place is nice and typical, the staff is friendly and the prices are affordable for this kind of place. Only the wines are not the best. One of the best vegan options in Sarlat.

My husband and I visited Sarlat for a Saturday market day and found La Couleuvrine. They offer one vegan starter, main dish and dessert. We ordered all three to share and they were all delicious. They also had some delicious and inexpensive local wines to offer. We dined outside on a warm fall day and the service was wonderful, attentive without being intrusive. The hostess spoke English, but that was the only English we encountered. Fortunately, I enjoy being pushed to use my rusty French!

Vegan Food in Rural France!!! (September 2019) - Edit
Had a lovely time! The food was lovely and very filling, was very surprised to find such good Vegan food in the middle of rural France where animals are the No 1 source of food 😭 Go and have a try! Staff were super nice and knowledgable about Vegan food! The Gendarmerie were also eating their lunch here and seemed to do so regularly so seems a favourite with locals too 😊👌🏻

Fine vegan dining in Sarlat - Edit
For well over a year now La Couleuvrine has been providing a 3 course vegan option, for 30 euro, as part of their menu, alongside more traditional French dishes. I think the vegan option changes every month. When I dined here in September 2017 the starter was a spicy gespacho soup, the main a polenta cake with crunchy veg on the side and the dessert a chocoloate mousse. The flavours were delicious and the terrace location at the top of the town was great for people watching.
