2023 new menu! Dropped all vegan main courses! - Edit
Beware! this place was fantastic with a fantastic selection of creative vegan entrees, mains and desserts. Since summer 2023, the menu has been changed, leaving quinoa as an appetizer and three vegetarian main courses, otherwise completely changed to serving animals. Very sad!

Read moreBut in the meantime it is easier to find places in the area, that offer vegan dishes in their menu like Ustria Aurora in Falera hast 2 of them, Bündnerstube by Hapimag offers 3 vegan dishes, one of them locally inspired and a bunch of vegetarian (haven't been there).
In the Brochure about Winter and Spring, there are several restaurants mentionned having vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Unfortunately, on the webpage of flimslaax there is only a vegetarian filter...

Himmlisch Vegan + Vegetarisch - deliciously vegan and vegetarian in Flims - Edit
Währenddem die Restaurants geschlossen waren Ende Dezember 2020 bestellte ich als TakeAway das Hirse Capuns, welches ich auf dem knapp 5min. entfernten Spielplatz genoss, der zwischen Flims Waldhaus und Laax Staderas liegt.

Eine Tasche bzw. Unterlage mitnehmen zum Draufsitzen und ein scharfes Messer oder nettes Besteck, dann ist das Essen so perfekt wie es sein kann bei geschlossenen Restaurants!
Das Hirse Capuns selbst war himmlisch mit unterschiedlichen "Geschmacksklecksen" - ich werde wohl noch träumen davon :)
Das Menü war definitiv seinen Preis wert!
Alternativ werden die Menüs in die Umgebung geliefert. Die Bestellnummer steht auf der speziellen Takeaway-Webseite - die gesamte Speisekarte steht zur Bestellung zur Verfügung zwischen 12.00 und 21.00 Uhr.
Im Sommer 2021 konnte ich endlich im Restaurant essen gehen. Das Essen war himmlisch, vegan und exquisit angerichtet wie eine Märchenlandschaft. Einmal bestellte ich Erbsen & Minze Gaspacho, das andere Mal geschmorte Kräutersaitlinge - siehe Bilder.
Definitiv einen Besuch wert.

At the end of December, I ordered Millet Capuns for take away which I enjoyed eating on the nearby playground, since the restaurant is closed to the public. The restaurant was only opened for hotel guests.
The playground is between Flims Waldhaus and Laax Staderas, consist of 3 tables as well as a toilet plus some playgroundfun for small kids.
Today was about 2° and almost sunny.
Have something to sit on - I used a shopping bag, as well as a sharp knive or lovely cuttlery to enjoy a perfect meal, even when the restaurants are closed.
The Millet Capuns was hevenly delicous with a varitey of "taste dollops" - I still can taste it even now and my starts watering!
The menu definitely was worth it's money.
Alternatively, they deliver the menus within the area between 12 am and 9pm.
In Summer 2021 finally I was able to eat at the restaurant. Once I had the Pea & Mint Gaspacho, the other time the Stewed King Oister Mushroom. Both menus were heavenly and lovely arranged: like an island where greens and mushrooms are growing.
Definitely, it is the place to visit as vegan!

This is a great restaurant for a special occasion with vegan menu options that don’t seem to be add ons, but are truly part of the whole menu.

Lots of vegan local specialties - Edit
This restaurant first offers all the vegetarian options on the menu and only in the end mentiones "if you found nothing, here's a few meat options". Nice. The vegan options are well marked and there's a lot of them - all of them vegan versions of local specialties. Not eaten there yet but looks extremely promising.
